CeeDee is trying a new method to eliminate drops

Great players make those 1-2 crucial catches instead of dropping them.

No one cares if Jackie Smith was a good player overall, they remember his choke job in the super bowl.
I do care. And only the shallow viewer acts like you say.

But nobody who cares deeper about football cares about their opinions anyways.

Those who have deeper understanding are always a minority. Thats true for all topics not only football. But you have to listen closely to hear them over the sound the mainstream does.

I attributed a lot of the drops (didn’t he have some fumbles too?) to all the missed time with the contract situation. Hopefully less of an issue this year

...when the pressure and adrenaline are riding high.

It's just mental focus. The drops that I remember, were not necessarily tough, but hand placement.

Two nice one's Vs Philly (1st game).
One in the endzone, ( later in the year) that hit him right in the numbers. Defender distraction, but very catchable ball.

That's because we have hindsight. If we win a game where he drops one, its forgotten. It only becomes a crucial catch after the fact and in context of a game after the fact. Every WR has an occasional drop, so I disagree with the spotlight that been put on it.
Sure, you can have drops on difficult catches now and then.

You CANNOT turn routine catches into drops (especially vs a division opponent or in a key game) when you’re paid the way that CD is paid.

10000% Rey ..........dropping difficult catches is one thing ( although that's why you're elite), but zero excuses for dropping routine catches, zero.
