I also seen a tweet about Michael Irvin having a conversation with Lamb about wearing #88.
There is an interview out there as well, so maybe there is a link or someone can post it. I do not do twitter so can't post it.

So this was not Jerry forcing him to change. Though many will still believe it was, because that is just the way they are.

Call it whatever you want.

Lamb said #10.

Jerry said his piece.

Lamb said #88.

You do the math..lol

No math to it, as this was the type of response I expected.
Jerry also let the media believe an enhanced version of the Manziel card being snatched from his hand, only to find out years later it was not so.

Doesn't matter. I believe the Irvin story had more to do with it. You believe otherwise, no big deal.

Like an eager baby bird, mouth a gape, you accept anything mama bird regurgitates and forces down your throat.

I honestly don't know who believed that tripe to begin with. If Jerry wanted Manziel, we'd have had Manziel. It was a great media story for a while involving the Cowboys that Jerry was happy to cooperate with. Win-win.

#88 should have been retired w/the great Michael Irvin (sorry Drew). CeeDee should have taken #10 and just maybe, he can make that number legendary as well.

I don't think we should retire numbers. I'm fine with holding numbers for players we expect to live up to the legends. If we ever draft a #1 QB that is a sure thing then he can wear 12 or 8

I guess Cee Dee felt sorry for Jerry when he told him that sob story about his old friend?!
