but linebacker are you serious ?? you're saying we're not investing at all??
look it happens sometimes,
jalen Smith, Sean Lee, and LVE all injuries took that out of the equation sent them reeling, they invested, it didn't work out...They have Clark maybe used out of position..still hope for him,,technically Parsons was drafted as a LB, turned out better OLB/DE pass rusher but he was a LB!
now they're just drafted another kid in Liafu?sp? , maybe he'll workout. they're investing in te meantime they brought in Harvey, brought back Wilson, FA in Kendricks that not nothing.Overshown more bad luck..
this is what teams go through at different positions,
you think every team in this league has it all down to a science where they have 2-3 Deep in stars at every position??
some of you have no perspective on how it is to build a 60 man roster when you are top heavy with the salary cap with your stars nobody is that deep at every position...
look at what Philadelphia went through on defense last year Howie Roseman supposed to be God around here, with all the green drilling out around your lips, they went on a losing streak last year and couldn't figure out how to replace their coaches or most of their defense.IE no depth and misses on talent acquisition, I mean are you paying attention?
I mean people can't find quarterbacks or they can't find a running back or they can't find a center and offensive lineman etc etc there are places on every team that holes in it ,
I mean you all think Jerry Jones building a top six team is something that's easy to do and I realize it's regular season but I don't think any team is prepared 100% and it gets proven, I mean even look at what happened with the with the 49ers at quarterback with all the injuries you can't plan for everything and you can't be deep in every position....
And it's not for lack of trying, they may not be going after free agents,
I get that but in the draft they drafted several defensive tackles and several linebackers over the last decade, and it just didn't work out... But they've been either lucky or good who cares but they got two back-to-back generational quarterbacks and I just mean more like franchise for the team, where other teams have been doing that for decades and can't find one and you're worried about linebacker?? there are teams with great linebackers that don't get anywhere because they don't have pieces where it really counts, is offensive line, quarterback, and ,corner and pass rusher... aren't those the four corners of a team that literally where you start having the biggest paychecks hand it out and we've done that and forever we've had problems with safety and we finally have come around and have a pretty good group there???
so yes,
there's some holes just like all other teams somewhere on their team they're lacking you have to try to get over that you have to try to be better in big moments and I don't think it has anything to do with the building of this team because other teams have tried it....
They go all in and they couldn't be a team in Kansas City who's really the last three or Four Seasons have been down grading going running back by committee wide receiver by committee using the draft and free agency much like we do but they ended up with a transcendent quarterback and coach that knew how to utilize his talents but they are not out there in free agency gambling and going all in and yet they're the ones beating Philadelphia and San Francisco doing less...
Most of the teams if you go look in our own divsion, who has spent the most money and been the most aggressive we're actually Washington in New York and they have ending up in last place.... Throwing money in free agency isn't always going to equate into more success for deep playoff runs... I get what everyone is saying, I wish they would try a little harder, but it's not like we haven't sold a lot a positions where we have high end talent where other teams do not...
