Like seriously, Are these guys not allowed to stay after practice and work on these things??? Why does it only happen on the bye???
Just a guess but I would imagine there are a few factors that preclude them doing a LOT of after practice work. The first one is obvious. Dudes have other commitments: families, girlfriends, appearances you name it. The second is rules. There are rules about what can and can't be done at the facility. The less obvious one that no one thinks about is that if you work after you've already been practicing for 2-3 hours you're not getting the same work with regard to timing as when you are fresh. Routes are not as fast or as crisp when you've already worked your hiney off for two hours, so you might actually be making things worse from a timing standpoint. Obviously this is all conjecture on my part. I claim no intimate knowledge of why guys do or don't do stuff. Just offering my 2 cents.

Somebody tell him that the season started 7 weeks ago? And how on earth did they need this bye week?

Translation: Dak makes twice as much as me. He better start throwing the ball where I can catch it.

They can but there's rules on how much you can do with the team
