Listening to Garrett's press conference, he said that Costa is getting an MRI on his back. Assuming we stay with Cook, do we sign another backup center or stick with Arkin as the backup?

Is Dan Koppen still available? Would Bernadeau be tasked with it?

I think Cook will be fine, but I think we need insurance in case he goes down.

I expect that we are going to put Costa on the short-term IR.

We will clearly have to sign another center if we do that. I wasn't in favor of Koppen before but I am warming up to it, especially now that his contract would not be guaranteed.

Cook looked OK but I think that some of the false starts are likely on him not going on the right count. But what do you expect for a guy with so little practice time?

I was wondering about Koppen too. I say sign him! I don't think we're going to find a better option at this point. Then we probably need to address a more permanent solution for next year.
