Center???

Do you guys think we get a center in free agency or are Costa, Kowalski and Arkin the answer for us.

I don't love drafting a center early because I think good centers are usually mid career and late career guys. There are a few exceptions to that with Pouncey in Pittsburgh and Kalil in Carolina who came in a played very well.

It is a position that is both mental and physical with the line calls. Many of the really good centers are 28 and older. . I'd like to see us bring in a veteran center on a 1 or 2 year deal and continue to develop a future center whether that is Arkin, Nagy or a draft pick. I don't want to see a second tier center such as Blake who has played only in the spread be the guy making line calls with 2 new guards beside him in his first year. That is a recipe for disaster.

Well, all three of those guys have played Center at some point. We may not be done yet. They may also draft one. Still a lot of offseason left.

It's a good draft for centers, with at least 3 or 4 being projected as opening day starters for most teams in the NFL.

I think Dallas gets one of them.

I agree, I think we draft a center and cut Kosier to save on the cap.
