Well, lots of players are being released that are a bit of a surprise.
If Dallas did get to the point where they decided to part ways with a TO, they could do the stop-gap veteran temporary replacement gig with a Harrison or a Galloway. I guess you pay them A LOT for a short term contract, trying to convince them they'd have a chance to win a Super Bowl here.
On Defense, there are a few veteran safeties that might fit. Eagle or no, I'd take Dawkins for a year or two. There are the Sharpers etc out there too. We could use some veteran depth there, especially if we let Roy Williams go (which I think is the right move - lack of leadership and real football hunger in the guy IMHO).
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the team will pick up any impact free agents, but the worry for me then is, how can we add some leadership and locker-room policing?
What semi-realistic veterans would fit in in Dallas and might we go after? Is Cato June any good? Released by Tampa today. We probably need a veteran decent ILB.
