CFB Early Signing Period

Something is going on here. A lot of guys are decommitting from OSU and headed to Georgia. Same with Bama, to a lessor extent. I wonder what's up?

Anthony Cook to Texas. Another guy that a lot of people thought was going to OSU. I'm telling you, something is going there.

It was the possible recruiting violation that popped up. It seemed minor--a photo op with Herbstreet-- but a few bailed anyway.

I dont get it. Why? I wouldn’t advise any top recruit to go there......and I have absolutely nothing against that school.
Then why would you advise any top recruit to go there? They are a traditional powerhouse that's on the rise again with a great new head coach.

Historic powerhouse.....yes....i will agree to that.

But being on the rise again and a great new head coach remains to be seen. I am sure some people said the same thing a few years ago with Charlie Strong.

With this outstanding recruiting class and future ones they will be a powerhouse again, Coach Herman is a great coach, better than Strong.

I hope your optimism proves true. They have been nothing but a laughingstock for years now.

They haven't been a laughing stock for years now. They've been a bad team by Texas standards but by no means a laughing stock.

2 didn't qualify academically, and a whole bunch of negative recruiting. Dabo told one OT that Meyer is on the backend of his career. Funny thing is urban is only 5 years older than Dabo. Lots of teams telling DL recruits that Larry Johnson is going to retire. He's not.
No, Dabo and that recruit talked about everything. Coaching continuity came up and how some coaches move around more than others....Meyer tends to move on after 4-5 years. Ohio State is his 4th or 5th stop.
Sweeny is a borderline Clemson lifer, though you can never say never in this world of coaching carousals.
The recruit said that was not what swayed him though.

Btw, ALL schools use some forms of negative recruiting. The Buckeyes are front and center in that regard. It goes with the turf.

Meyer is an OSU lifer. Dabo will be at Bama when Saban retires.

Maybe so.
Meyer could retire altogeter in 2 years and in 7-8 years Dabo could move on...same result:muttley:

Actual history (vs specualtion) says Meyer will leave OSU (retire or whatever) way before Swinney leaves Clemson.
Meyer still has residual health issues

Btw, I have family at both schools....just pointing out what many believe

Im not a huge Buckeye fan, but have deep roots there. My Dad even coached summer clinics with Woody Hayes
