CFB Early Signing Period

Meyer is an OSU lifer. Dabo will be at Bama when Saban retires.
never say never with meyer.
he'll go where the money is.
same as saban and dabo and all these guys.

meyer had to buckle down and really coach this year after a couple losses.
that hurts his recruiting focus and also reduces his aura of invincibility.
and osu is losing a lot of asst coaches because they have been do good everyone is poaching them.
but osu recruits nationally and will be fine.
georgia is so well located that proving they can win the SEC with this staff was a huge boon for them.

herman is going to pull top 10 classes every year he's at texas. he was one of meyer's best recruiters.

Historic powerhouse.....yes....i will agree to that.

But being on the rise again and a great new head coach remains to be seen. I am sure some people said the same thing a few years ago with Charlie Strong.
So with that reasoning, you would never advise anyone to go to UT until they win another Championship. Makes no sense.

OSU will pay Urban whatever he wants. Urban is not a NFL coach. OSU's biggest issue has been replacing coaches on the offensive side of the ball. JT Barrett regressed for 2 years under Tim Beck. I'm hoping Kevin Wilson is damaged goods because of the issues he had at Indiana and can become a lifer at the OC position.

He was making great money at Florida too.
Sometimes Coaches want a year off to recharge.
Again, just never say never.

He is an Ohio guy. Born here, grew up here, coached at OSU. Big Earl Bruce guy. Wife born here, grew up here. He had an out in his Florida contract to go to OSU if the job was open. As long as his ticker holds up and he continues to get top 5 recruiting classes he will stay at OSU for a long time.

But he didn't take the out to go to OSU.
He "retired" to get away from the stress and then took the highest paying job available after that down time.

Again, Never say never.
Not for Saban or anyone else coaching.

If OSU gets hit with major recruiting violations you think Meyer sticks for 2-3 years to fight through it?
Or he walks away, spends a year fishing then takes the highest paying job available after a year?

He's not on any hot seat and he's gonna be there if he wants but you just never say never.

No, he wouldn't stay for that. Luckily he has not had any NCAA issues. Just player arrest issues at Florida.

This is the truth. JT and I, over the years, have had differences of opinion, but not on this. You can never say never, where this kind of thing is involved. I agree with JT 100% on this one.
