CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders add Trey Lance to their negotiating rights list

Ewers or Howard or McCord may be options around the 5th round, or trade back into the 4th round.

Howard may go before that, possibly 3rd. I have no idea, I have not looked at any draft ratings lately.

Howard may go before those 2, simply because of his performance in the 4 games from the college playoffs to win a national championship.

Yeah, I think you got it right with these guys. I see a 3rd to 5th round cluster of just who a particular team likes better for whatever reason. Dallas has been linked to McCord n Ewers for what it's worth.

Shough will be too high for Dallas imo, 2nd or 3rd round guy.

I read in the last couple weeks that league wide concensus on Lance was as " a high end 3rd string QB." In other words 65th best QB in the NFL. Yeah Jerry was his usual incompetent self as GM, but the 49ers look even worse.

Dave Naylor of TSN reports that the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders have added Lance to their negotiating list. The move gives the team exclusive rights to negotiate a contract with Lance in the event he wants to continue his career in Canada..

I still can’t believe Trey hasn’t circled back around and accepted the Cowboys offer, if the offer is still on the table. I’m wondering how much he would make in the CFL compared to a minimum wage contract for the NFL. Anyway, I’m over him. I’m hoping our next project/gamble is trading a 6th or a 5th for Milton. Or we draft someone. I’ll be disappointed if we enter the season with just Dak and Grier.

Moon’s skill set going into the CFL was much higher than Treys. There’s no comparison in the two.
