Good for him. What he needs is reps and he’s not getting them in the nflDave Naylor of TSN reports that the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders have added Lance to their negotiating list. The move gives the team exclusive rights to negotiate a contract with Lance in the event he wants to continue his career in Canada..
Trey Lance
Rourke didn’t get that pay until after he proved himself an effective CFL quarterback. Trance would have to make a team and tear up the league before any of the nine franchises would pay anywhere near $600,000.Lance and his agent wont accept Jerry’s offer of 1M per year.
He’d be better off getting paid in CAD than taking league Min from Jerry.
Big trouble in little chinaOkay this has been bothering me all day but what movie is that from? I’ve been trying to figure it out all day, lol.
You mean the meaningless one?You have to admit he was decent in that Commanders game.
I would think in his best interests getting to someplace where he can be a starter and get live reps. Tons of live reps would be in his best interest.Trey Lance bet on himself on the open Market for some reason and it's crickets. However, Trey is young and some teams looking for a young developmental QB could give him a call after the draft if they don't get to pick a QB.
If I'm Dallas tho, I'd let the new HC/Playcaller pick his own guy to work with.
I agree. Trey always need live reps from the day he was drafted up to now. CFL is a valid option, but I just wonder will Trey have the mindset to go down a level to develop instead working behind the scenes in the NFL.I would thik in his best interests getting to someplace where he can be a starter and get live reps. Tons of live reps would be in his best interest.
I don't think the NFL is where that is going to happen. Players have gone north before coming back to the US. Thiesmann, Brock, Ferragamo, Moon, Flutie and Garcia.
If Lance wanted to take a chance on himself, sitting on an NFL bench is not going to advance his career. Unless all he cares about is milking a backup spot and getting a high wage.
If wants to see if he can be antual QB and read and react to dfences, then the CFL may be a route to consider.
this is so true. I was so frustrated with their line of thinking. To me, it made absolutely no sense.when Dak got injured, the season was clearly going down the drain. I could see them trying a while with Cooper, but really they needed to put Lance in and see if he had real potential. But instead as always when a smart decision needed to be made, Big and Little Enos blew the call.
Look I am not sending the guy to Canton I am just saying I was expecting terrible and he wasn’t at all.You mean the meaningless one?
32 teams just said no thank you.
look on the bright side...at least we didn't give up 3 1sts, and 3rd for him like SF49ers did.Lol, waste a 4th rounder and the guy ends up in the CFL the next year, Mingo will probably be next
Ahhh, okay, I remember now. Man I haven’t seen that in 30 years. My favorite line is at the end when the girl asks Kirk Russel for a kiss and he says no and walks away. Respect
I mean if there was a team that wanted him then he would be signed right now.I agree. Trey always need live reps from the day he was drafted up to now. CFL is a valid option, but I just wonder will Trey have the mindset to go down a level to develop instead working behind the scenes in the NFL.
True. Also, I think if a team doesn't get one of these QBs in the draft, they may take a flyer on Lance.I mean if there was a team that wanted him then he would be signed right now.
Lol, It's pretty hard to argue with that logic!look on the bright side...at least we didn't give up 3 1sts, and 3rd for him like SF49ers did.![]()
That's just not true.No one wanted Warren Moon either, until he lit up the CFL.
Dak is closer to Moon than Lance. There's a few here that still think he's better than Dak. Funny stuff. No one wanted Warren Moon either, until he lit up the CFL.
Question is, "How badly do you want it?"I agree. Trey always need live reps from the day he was drafted up to now. CFL is a valid option, but I just wonder will Trey have the mindset to go down a level to develop instead working behind the scenes in the NFL.
Nobody wants him.Does nobody want him or is it taking time to sift through all the offers because he has so many?
Even other countries want him.
