Chad's declaration should make it more possible since its getting to the ugly divorce point. This situation might even nudge Detroit or Arizona into doing something(with their guys in a trade) since they may not end up with the opportunity if they get caught blinking.

Our offensive threats would be off the charts if Chad came to Dallas, especially if we pick up a fairly decent back in the draft.

The guy is a complete nutcase.

Give me Boldin or RW instead.

Chad has more skill then Boldin and Wiliams combine so give me Chad. I don't care what he does on his time or after a TD because that just means he is making TD's. Anyone who says any different must have a man crush on Williams because he played in Texas but the guy can't stay healthy and is no where near as good as Chad.

I'm with you...one prima donna receiver is enough!

Yep, but I think bringing in Chad is much more likely, especially now that he has come out and said that he wants to be traded.

I'm amazed that so many are people are down on CJ. Do you even know why he is pissed at the Bengals?? The same reason that Corey Dillon was mad with them. They aren't doing anything to improve the team. CJ made a great point when comparing players to owners. If a player isn't doing well, the team can just cut him. But if the team isn't doing what they can to improve the player has to tough it out. I will admit that he can be eccentric, but at least he shows up every week and plays hard. Now I would take any of the three WRs (Roy, Boldin, CJ) and be happy with it. I just wonder why so many people act like he is going to tear the team apart, and all he wants is to get out of a franchise that does nothing to get better.

Actually I was thinking about posting the same thing. It's usually about money & CJ does claim he underpaid at $2.5M. Would the contract he signed a few years ago included a signing bonus which now he probably conveniently forgets about.

Somebody posted his stats a few days ago & they were good; certainly in line with what he's been doing his whole career. I do have the impression somebody in the Cincy organization told him/gave him the impression that he had an off year in 07 -- which his stats don't seem to support. Suspect his need for the limelight combined with their losing record also has lead to increased pressure on him.

But there's also another factor. CJ just turned 30. Cincy has had a losing record for his entire career except maybe once. It's not unusual for a player his age to want to play for a winning team or at least with a serious chance to win. Of course the organization is a big part of that. With owner Mike Brown at the helm it doesn't appear it will ever happen. Brown is either totally incompetent or simply doesn't care if his team wins so long as the money keeps rolling in.

CJ is only 1 player in a stream of Cincy players who desperately want out. RB Corey Dillion was a top player but he also got fed up with losing & finally forced Brown's hands when Dillon went public with critical remarks about Brown's daughter's job performance with Cincy. Anyway, it's going to be difficult for CJ to break away since Cincy claims it would take an $8M cap hit this year if they traded CJ.

I'd take Chad on this team in a heartbeat. No problem with it at all. yeah he can be mouthy, or out there a bit, but I assure that Michael Irvin, if the Cowboys had been losers his entire career, wouldn't be remember here NEARLY for being such a great teammate. That guy loved to win too and if he'd had to do nothing but go 3-13 every year of his career? You bet your bottom dollar he'd have wanted out of Dallas just like Chad wants out of Cincy.

No one, who is truly competitive, wants to stick around an organization that does nothing but lose, and lose and lose and lose.

I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want this guy on their team.

Is there any reason to list anything beyond the fact that he's not a 'team' guy and only interested in self promotion?

I think we got lucky averting one prima donna disaster in taming TO but rolling the dice to bring on another one?...Talk about adding oil to the fire.

Because he is a borderline great WR. Not hard to figure out.

I know one thing for sure though, if he does come here, there better be some stips in the contract about this kind of behavior.

:rake:

He is a longshot to be a Cowboy so none of this likely matters.

Yep-Marvin went into '07 TC with ONLY FOUR healthy LBs. By wk4 against the Pats last year, 2 got hurt in the game, and they ended up playing nickel D the rest of the way.(The Pats subsequently ran the ball on every play during this stretch) After that game, he ended getting Dhani Jones(that leftover from NYG/Philly, that is) out of desperation.

If anything-this "defensive guru"'s Cincy's D has gotten progressively worse each year he was there.

I disagree. CJ gives his all for the team every Sunday when it matters. He wants to win and knows it's not gonna happen in Cincy. I don't blame him for wanting off that pathetic team.

Dude is a baller. He plays hard, breaks corners ankles, and scores touchdowns. Yes he is flamboyant but he backs it up.

I prefer Roy Wiliiams if possible but I wouldn't be dissapointed with Chad.
