Chad started for the Bears today and defeated the Vikings 24-14.
He played pretty good with some deep passes and no interceptions to win the game.
See what happens when you protect the QB?
What happened to the Vikings?
It all goes back to what I have said all along. The Cowboys have had very good quarterbacks but that is not the problem with the Cowboys. It is a poor offensive line and now to add to that the defense is starting to stink. We have not had any pass rush for several years but now it is hurting the whole defense. Protect the Qb and good things happen, if you do not it gets ugly. Curly

OK - one decent game vs. a horrible vikings defense, and suddenly, the cowboys have had a system flaw for years.

too bad at one point in the season, vinny had an 88 qb rating.

i'm very happy for chad. this game doesn't completely absolve him of a history of fumbling just about every time he got hit in the backfield. but it goes a ways TOWARDS it. i hope he lights it up. my brother met the guy at a starbucks in dallas. he got his "pic with chad" and chatted him up. he said hutch was a very easygoing and unassuming person. just a nice guy.

He still got sacked in the game but he looked much more poised, was not fumbling everytime someone put a pinky on him, made wise decisions and even scrambled some.

One thing I do miss about chad was his toughness and not letting defenders intimidate him.

He ran for a first and got hit pretty hard getting forced out of bounds...he jumped up and let the defender know that he was not bothered by it.

Oh well...one game is one game...just as his one game vs the Jags made him look like an All-Pro when he was with us.

Wellllll....I am glad someone who actually watched the game is commenting on Hutch's performance.... :)

I got a HUGE kick out of that scramble you are referring to...took a WHACK from the LB and jawed all the way back to the huddle...shoulder pads sticking out and all...

He only held the ball too long on the one play where he was stripped of the ball..

He took command in the huddle...

No one can take yesterday away from him...forget what he did two years ago, last year, NFLE and what he does in the future...yesterday belonged to him and I was really glad to see it...

I always liked the guy...and never understood the bashing he took around here if for no other reason than his courage and toughness...

Well there are still divisions of people over silly agenda's I am sure but you are right yesterday was his day and he deserves it.

However like I said, one game does not mean anything other then one good game...I remember the good game he had for the cowboys vs the Jags.

I agree...he also had a good game on TG day, against the Commanders...

The way I see it, he went to NFLE...he took a horrific beating behind what was one of the worst O Lines I have ever seen when he played for us...so he's paid his dues...he played well...he motivated his team...AND the crowd..my my my, what would have happened if he came in against us on Thanksgiving...beautiful drama...returning to Dalls on TG day, the two year anniversary of his game against the 'skins....these darn coaches have no sense of theatrics!

SO yep, it's one game...next week he could be awful...but he looked very good yesterday...in spite of Terrell dropping balls all over the field...

It was a very limited history given the fact he was not given many oppertunities with the Cowboys. While Carter was given many Chad was given few.
