Prior to the Jacksonville game BP had some rather complimentary things to say about KR/PR/WR Chad Owens. Do you think, now that he has been waived by the Jags, that we will take a look at signing him considering our return situation. I've watched the kid for years while playing at the University of Hawai'i and other than an overblown ego and too much bravado the kid has some skills. They need to be honed but he might be an option. I am just asking do you think we will take a look at him?

Chad Owens isn't bad. But didn't he fumble a few times? I doubt we pick him up because of it.

idk, Bill has said that he's looking for more of a RB than KR, Chad is a KR, and a WR to boot

Yes, last year, his rookie year he had some fumbles and drops that ultimately lead to his release. They then placed him on the practice squad. The bad part was that the Jags asked him to go play in Europe which he refused. Big mistake. But he then came back and performed in TC rather well. Well, enough to make the squad and enough for BP to take notice and call him out by name the week we played them.

He isn't the big kick off returner that BP likes...true. Just throwing the idea out there for some feed back. And his WR skills aren't that great. More of a jitterbug guy in the mold of a Dante Hall. Not saying that he is a Dante Hall but he has some signs of have some of the same attributes.

Whats the deal with the whole ego thing with their football program? I watch them at least once a year playing BSU and they always seem to have more than a few guys with huge egos.
Gotta love what they did to the Vandals last week, though.

Sir, you are exactly correct. One of my problems with the program is their lack of class. But as a wise man once said. A team is usually a reflection of their coach.

Ever heard of Skyler Green?

Of course I've heard of him. Hopefully he will be the answer. We should find out this week.

Thats kinda what I was thinking. Probably doesn't help to have Glanville on there either, at least in the attitude department anyway.
Colt Brennan is one heckuva player. They are gonna embarass some higher regarded team in a bowl. Book it.

Nah, that bowl game much like many others is a joke. There are like over 50 teams going to bowl games out of 119 D1 football programs. It doesn't mean much anymore other that for the money. And they will play some nobody again. Houston, Tulane, Cincinatti, Memphis, Troy. I doubt that they invite anyone they shouldn't be able to beat.

They play someone from the Pac-10 this year. Maybe a UCLA, becuse we already play OSU for our last game.

I actually think their behavior has been pretty good this year. My feeling is this, Hawaii usually won't start problems, but the problem is, they aren't mature enough to back down when need be. I think we have better leaders on our team this year and it's showing on the field. Officials also play a part in this when they let things go. Remember, it's always the 2nd guy that gets caught, but we gotta learn how to just walk away. Period.

If they get UCLA that would be cool. Even though they aren't very good. One of my old teammates is on their staff. So it would be cool to see him again.

Do you agree that they have behaved much better this year?

Sorry but I don't agree with your assessment in part. Yes this year and last they have been better. But they went through a stretch were they had like five incidents in two years. If five teams come here and have fights with you and all five are different teams. What is the constant? I was in the press box with access to videos and I saw who was chipping and who was taunting. I wished it wasn't the case but sadly it was. I'd love to defend my alma mater but back then it was indefensible. The still have too much bravado to be in such a crappy conference. They are beating up on NAIA teams. NMSU, USU,Idaho, LaTech? And Fresno is just crappy this year.
