Chad Owens

I want to know what you guys think about this guy as a return specialist.I watched this guy in Hawaii and sure got some moves.He also could be a valuable receiver in the 4 receiver sets maybe a 2nd day pick or a free agent pick up.

Chad Owens reminds me alot of Tim Dwight or Dante Hall, he gets lost behind the blockers and then breaks out into the open for long gains. He's very elusive. I could see bringing him in with a late round or supplemental pick. He could run reverses for us, or fill in for a 3rd receiver.

I'd love to see the guy on our team.

I've been thinking for a while that we should use a later round pick on the guy and just find a way a couple/three times per game to get him in the open field with the ball.

The Cowboys really need help in the return game, and I have to think a player who returned FIVE punts for TDs last year would be helpful...

Then again, Jerome Mathis might be an equally good choice, he had FIVE kickoff returns for 80 yards or longer last year...

Mathis will probably be drafted a good deal earlier than Owens is, though...

I'm a big Owens fan. Super tough and cat quick. Didn't run a good 40, but he caught everything thrown to him at the combine. One of our compensatory picks would look great on him.

The only one I would b***ch about would be Sopoaga who was taken in the 4th. All the other guys were too early for my liking. I was happy for them, but not too sure they would be worth it, then I would just be a homer. Owens in the 6th would be solid and worth it. Hell, while were at it, Elimimian in the 5th would be a good nickel corner, not that big or fast, just seems to shut people down.

The UH players I would have like to be Cowboys were the guys playing there when I lived there...The NOGA brothers!

Really, I saw where Chad ran a slow 40 at the Combine, so that will hurt his chances of being drafted/high...

right on! I live in arlington but my pops is the new vice chancellor at hawaii so I flew out and saw him play a few games --- against northwestern he had one of the better games I have witnessed....4 tds rec. and a punt ret for a td

abe had a nice vert and seems decent and chang could be a decent qb in a few yrs

owens is def the cream of their crop though....small elusive quick and really strong he did 23 reps more than a lot of ends ...
