Just went across the ticker on NFL Network. Do they draft a qb in next years draft in the 1st round since they will be top 5?

that would put them in full rebuilding mode but I guess possible if he could be traded for something of value (2nd/3rd round pick?) he wouldn't last in NY if they spend a top-5 pick on a QB.

This news would not surprise me. So it's not that I don't believe you...but even the Fantasy sites aren't reporting this yet. Usually they post right away if Manning or Culpepper break wind. I just like seeing it in story form.

Updating ongoing reports, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports New York Jets QB Chad Pennington (shoulder) will travel to Birmingham, Ala. for a second opinion on his injured shoulder. MRI results were inconclusive. While the team is not using the "career" word, according to Mortensen, there has to be concern over Pennington's future after his latest shoulder problem.
