Since we lost Tyson Thompson why not look at this guy in the later rounds. I never knew about this running back until recently. I looked him up on Youtube and thought he was an interesting player. He comes from a very small college and is short at 5-8 but he weighs 216 pnds and ran a 4.42 at the combine. Check his highlight out and let me know what you think.

Did TT sign somewhere? I relize we most likely don't want him even if he didn't sign, but he could be brought back if he hasn't been signed, and i don't think has has.

As far as this kid, he'll probably get a chance in the NFL, but he's a long shot at best. Very late draft pick or UDFA. Me, I'd rather have Justin Forsett.

Cowboys didn't tender Tyson Thompson, not even for the minimum, so it looks like they don't want him back.

If they take a 2nd RB later in the draft, it will be Peyton Hillis. All reports are they really like him and he could serve as the backup fullback, #3 RB, and play special teams on gameday. That may allow the team to dress an extra lineman or linebacker on Sundays. Look for Hillis' name to be called starting in the 4th round but more likely in the 5th.

I mentioned doing this yesterday, but I haven't seen any reports of the Cowboys' interest in him. You have any links?

I would like to see us take 2 CB's and 2 RB's early and late, because this is the strength of this draft.

I had actually talked about taking chad in the 7th in like my first mock, but the guy I like late now (or maybe even in FA) is Xavier Omon.

Would rather have the other Simpson, Jerome from Coastal Carolina in the later rounds.

The WR? What does that have to do with a 3rd RB discussion?

Because I'm his pimp, and want to endorse him as much as possible before the draft. And this thread was going to receive as much attention as any thread I would've started about Jerome therefore instead of wasting another thread I threw my two cents in here.

That and Jerome Simpson has phenomenal potential. He's got longer arms AND bigger hands than Patrick Crayton and finished in the top 10 for WR's in just about all of the combine measurables. At his pro day his vertical was recorded at 41".

I like the idea of two CBs but not two RBs. But I would have no major heartburn if they did and they were clearly worth the pick at that time.

You and Romo have a lot in common, he's that other Simpson's pimp. :D :D
