Situation: Your team is leading the opposing team 35-0. The fourth quarter has just begun.
Come up with your own scenario!
Come up with your own scenario!
- The opposing offense scores on a 90-yard touchdown run, which involves breaking eleven tackle attempts (none of your defensive players manage to make the touchdown-saving tackle). Your team now leads 35-7.
- The opposing team kicks off. Your kick returner returns the ball all the way for what appears to be a sure touchdown, but then fumbles the ball out of bounds in the opposing end zone for a touchback. Opposing team gets possession and throws a 90-yard touchdown pass on 4th and 20, which was caught despite double coverage on the receiver. Your team now leads 35-14.
- Your quarterback throws a pass to a wide open receiver, but the receiver fails to catch the ball, his hands knocking it up into the air instead. The opposing defense intercepts the tipped ball and returns it all the way for a touchdown. Your team now leads 35-21.
- Your offense gets the ball back again and drives all the way downfield into the opposing team's red zone. But a short field goal try hits the upright. Opposing team takes over. On 4th and 29 on its own one-yard line, the opposing team throws a 99-yard touchdown pass, which was caught despite triple coverage on the receiver. Your team now leads 35-28.
- Your team decides to go conservative and risk-averse. Your offense advances the ball to the opposing team's 35-yard line but decides to punt rather than try a 53-yard field goal. The punt is blocked and returned all the way for a touchdown. The game is now tied 35-35.
- With the game now tied 35-35, your offense advances the ball all the way to the opposing team's 1-yard. You line up for a game-winning field goal attempt with ten seconds remaining; your opponent still having a timeout remaining. But the 19-yard field goal attempt is blocked and returned the distance for a touchdown. The opposing team wins, 42-35.
