Please God. Lets bring the GIRTH back to Dallas.

I’m actually headed over there to Dallas in early April,” Warmack said. “We’re talking about America’s Team, you know? They have a lot of history. My favorite player actually played for the Dallas Cowboys. Larry Allen played for the Dallas Cowboys. So much traditon, just like Alabama in itself, on a pro level.”

“He is one of the greatest, man,” Warmack said of Allen. “He’ll be inducted in the Hall of Fame in August. He’s on another level of playing the position, and I always try to seek the great players that play the same position I play. How can you not pay attention to a guy so exceptional? He’s a freak of nature. He gets it done all the time. It’s hard to pass up watching a guy like that.”

I've gone back and forth between wanting him and Cooper. I think Cooper would be a better fit for what we're doing here, that being said, I would be ecstatic if we got either of these guys tonight. It would almost make up for losing out on Steven Jackson way back when.

Don't know about this premise. Jerry and company got a long way to go to make up allowing old Bill to make that mistake.

I agree. Still pissed off about it.

That was one of my lowest draft memories. I remember psyching myself up about him pre-draft, but the running consensus was that he would be LONG gone by the time we picked. The stars aligned somehow and he dropped to us, and then I saw the trade on the screen... I was furious.

That being said if we get Warmack or Cooper we will have gotten a player that most people suggested we wouldn't be able to get. Either player should be able to step in and really help out Romo and Murray. And that excites me, especially if we make a couple other moves on the line later in the draft or in free agency. The idea of Romo actually having an offensive line, to me is just as exciting as getting Jackson.

You're right, it probably wouldn't make up for it, but it would at least be a start in my eyes of the FO doing the right thing. I think what makes it worse is that we desperately needed a running back, he was a stud, and he was a huge Cowboys fan.

Love Cooper too. I just think these team, specifically the oline, is in serious need of some intangibles...nastiness. That type of attitude is M.I.A. on this team.

Sorry, I think Warmack will be gone at 18. Need to trade up for him.

I do want him.

I'm really hoping that the whole "guards always fall on draft day" adage will hold true today. I'd be thrilled with either Cooper or Warmack

I was out of town that draft weekend at my wife's family in the tiny town of Granite, OK. We were at her Aunt's place and I flipped the tv over to ESPN. It was early in the second round when I was watching the scroll of picks at the bottom of the screen. As the first round scrolled by I noticed Jackson wasn't taken and as our pick came up I was sure I would see Jackson for the Cowboys. Then the scroll noted that the pick had been traded.

I swear, my first though was ... "Cowboyszone must be blowing up right now".

:)
