There is already plenty of pub for the draft as it stands for the DC. What do you think the odds are that Jerry makes a big move this weekend to try to get the fans excited and media to talk about the Cowboys lots post draft? A trade up or trade for ET type move.

The Cowboys have been able to stay away from giving up too much in trade for years now, but will still take big risks from time to time with picks (injury and character concerns.

I would be ecstatic for say Vea, Landry, James, or Smith. I would be okay to kinda happy with Moore, Ridley, LVE, or one of the better offensive lineman. I would not be too happy with Sutton.

Hoping they do not give up any of there 1 ,2, or 3 for anyone other than ET and just the third if him.

I’m starting to think very likely because some players are going to drop once all the qbs get taken.

Anyone that actually thinks Jones would make a trade just because the draft is in his stadium must also believe in the hidden gunman in the grassy knoll. NFL people don't make trades based on where the draft is being held. That's just something fans think would happen because they want that type of thing.

I'm on record as saying that Jerry will make 2 moves during the draft for the express purpose of putting him in the limelight

One of those could definitely be a trade up today and another could be trade for earl Thomas or drafting a kid with a 'feel good' story

So then you agree that Jerry is making a trade just to put himself front and center , right?

I don’t think he will make a dumb trade just because the draft is in his house. I do, however, think he may be itching to make a splash somehow. If they make a move, I’m confident they will think it’s a good move for the team, not just a way to make headlines.

Jerry doesn't need to do anything. They are expecting over 400,000 people to attend the draft which will be over 150,000 more than last years record setting numbers. He will be getting unlimited publicity the entire weekend.

Jerry is not really an NFL person in terms of football competence.

mr Blitz---- man i would be upset if we got Sutton at 19....i am still not sold on LVE...but he could be what many say he is...or he could be Bobby carpenter 2.0...Vea would be a dream come true...Smith would be a miracle come true or same with James...dont want Landry just because we have areas of bigger need that must get addressed

I don’t want to trade for ET. I don’t want Sutton in the first. I’d take Kirk or Miller over Sutton.

Can’t wait to see what happens. Either way, there will be tears of joy or gnashing of teeth up in this mutha!

You in a very round about way said the same thing I said. If the Cowboys do make a trade it would be a trade they would have made regardless where the draft was being held not because the draft is here. The draft being in Cowboys Stadium means nothing other than all of the publicity that has already come to the Cowboys. Every football fan in the world knows where the draft is and Jones doesn't need a trade just because it is his stadium to get any more publicity.

Yeah, the splash will be...they got it right, made the right selections...that will be a better headline than a stupid trade.
Though many, and probably some of our own fans want a stupid splash move. It is an agenda driven world now.

Jerry doesn't need to do a trade to put them in the spotlight. The draft is in Dallas, the media is always talking about Dallas, they are #1 in revenue. Doing a trade won't change any of that.

In years past I would say yes, but I think it's pretty clear this is Stephens show now
