Change is in the air

The federal program to remove anthrax was developed on the King Ranch and the first American Breed of Cattle came from there as well. The Santa Gertrudis. They also had a Triple Crown Winner. I wouldn't be afraid to ask them about oranges as well!

Go Cowboys! :starspin:
I would love to get a hunt on that ranch.

Jerry Jones may be acknowledging his mortality. Each coming season has an increased probability of being his last.

Jerry Jones wants to solidify his legacy.

Little does he know his legacy was cemented over a three-decade period and one championship season is not going to change that.
He’s not acknowledging anything my friend.

If he cared he wouldn’t have purposely thrown away a year and kept McCarthy just to give him nothing to work with and show him the door.

Hes literally just trying to drum up fan interest because he knows how angry this fan base is at his stupid HC hire.

But did jerry invest in new curtains for the windows??? Thats the real question...

Here is another way to look at the trades the Cowboys made this offseason:

-Traded pick 170 to Buffalo for CB Kaiir Elam and OL Ajani Cornelius (204th pick)
-Traded pick 188 to Tennessee for LB Kenneth Murray and RB Phil Mafah (239th pick)
-Traded pick 171 to New England for QB Joe Milton and DT Jay Toia (217th pick)

Just thought it would be interesting to match the players Dallas drafted with the players they acquired with the pick swaps involved.

I dunno....he's making all kinds of trades and free agency acquisitions....isn't that te opposite of their stated philosophy over the past years?

Am I the only one who senses that perhaps Jerry's doctor gave him some sad news recently?

There seems to be change in the air at the Star these days. I don’t remember, in recent history anyway, they’ve been this active in attempting to fill holes. Don’t be quick to poo poo the free agents as they signed some quality depth there. Not top tier talent but better players than in the past. As everyone should know, you must have quality depth to compete for a Super Bowl because they will be put to the test at some point during the season. As an example of the changes just look at the 2024 RB depth chart compared to 2025:

2024 RB room

* Rico Dowdle
* Ezekiel Elliott
* Dalvin Cook
* Hunter Luepke
* Duece Vaughn

2025 RB room as of May 7th

* Jayden Blue
* Javonte Williams
* Miles Sanders
* Phil Mafah
* Hunder Luepke or Duece

That’s a solid upgrade to the running backs room. Bruisers as well as quickness. Exciting.

The Pickens trade has really got me excited not only becuase he’s one of the best WR’s in the NFL but it signals that theres a change underway in the philosophy of how Jerry and Stephen run the show.

Resigning Osa, Turpin and Hoffman show they got ahead of those contracts which is something they’ve had difficulty doing. Parsons is unsigned but so is Purdy, Trey Hendrickson and TJ Watt.

Trades:
  • Acquired QB Joe Milton III and a 2025 seventh-round pick from the New England Patriots: in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round draft pick.

  • Acquired WR Kaiir Elam from the Buffalo Bills: in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick.

  • Acquired LB Kenneth Murray from the Tennessee Titans: in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round pick.
  • Acquired WR George Pickens and a 2027 fifth round pick from the Pittsburgh Steelers: in exchange for a 2026 3rd round pick and 2027 fifth round pick
Free Agency Signings:
  • Signed WR Parris Campbell .
  • Signed OLB Dante Fowler Jr. .
  • Signed G Robert Jones .
  • Signed RB Javonte Williams .
  • Signed DT Solomon Thomas .
  • Signed RB Miles Sanders .
Re-Signings:
  • Re-signed DT Osa Odighizuwa .
  • Re-signed WR KaVontae Turpin .
  • Re-signed RB Ty Johnson .
  • Re-signed G Brock Hoffman .
  • Re-signed DE Tyrus Wheat .
  • Re-signed S Juanyeh Thomas .
  • Re-signed CB CJ Goodwin .
  • Re-signed LS Trent Sieg .
  • Re-signed P Bryan Anger .
  • Re-signed S Markquese Bell .
It’s starting to look like the Cowboys may have a playoff team this year that could go far with some luck with injuries which every team needs.

Enjoy the season!
My dear man, re the RB "room" I struggle to see an upgrade.

Perish the thought.
Yoda is a horrible GM, a brilliant businessman and perhaps a good man in private.

Listen to a brag show up...again? Cuffs and leg irons and then whisper walk away from supporting a football team. (coughing)

He supports his team and you are brave?

Thanks, Rockport...he has no clue of what a Wasp was about, much less the Cowboys. The last crash site was just recently located. They didn't become Veterans until the 1970's. Brag on...
Could somebody translate this please?

Shielded mind...just seek a monastery. Give up football and logic. You can't handle simple or good,

But you still seek gold jewelry and a goddess of a winning. Not understanding and enjoy the sport of football and being a fan of the Cowboys.

You definitely need a translater or a knowledge of respect in sport.

Wasps were women pilots who flew actual missions during war and never became veterans until the 1970's. Viet Nam ended in 1975. That should point towards respect. As watching the Cowboys this season should as well.

History is all about layers...I talk football related here. But you do the real work of figuring things out for yourself and contributing, Son.

Oh... I get it. Your garbled word salad makes you think you're intelligent.

And you know nothing about my "knowledge of respect in sport". Whatever the hell that is supposed to mean. I didn't say a single thing about football, yet here you are spewing more gibberish about whether or not I understand football or being a fan of the Cowboys. What I DID say, was asking about what it was you meant with that post. I thought maybe it was some kind of board inside joke, or whatever. I don't spend much time here, and thought maybe I just didn't understand something in the context of the conversation. But continuing to read the thread, saw that practically every post you made was one form of garbled nonsense or another.

Now, go ahead and tell me how the fires burn hot in Babylon, or some other inane crap that manages to form a semi-coherent thought in your head.

EDIT: Ah... I see you edited and added more hilarity. We can all TOTALLY see how that is relevant to the OP and discussion. :laugh:
