As much as I wanted to see Marinelli gone, at least he wanted the DL to attack. Nolan wants them to "read and react". Problem with that is that in today's NFL, by the time they read, it's too late to react. An attacking defense will occasionally give up a big play, but right now they are regularly giving up big plays anyway. Nolan's defensive concepts are outdated.
