It's not that he couldn't cover him. He apparently just thought his responsibility was the inside FB, rather than Chapas. It could have been, we don't know. Chapas could have been the outside guy's responsibility and the outside guy blew it by going after the QB. Without knowing the call and the responsibilities, we can't tell. But Chapas was long gone before Peterson even had a chance to cover him.

Sorry, sometimes people will watch a clip like that and actually think the person in coverage can't cover/is at fault without actually knowing what happened in the play. So I didn't recognize the sarcasm.
