Playing in a LA Galaxy's 27,000 seater stadium for the next couple of years.

This really is temporary. Germany beckons.

It is a small stadium but it is very nice. When I graduated from Dominguez Hills, the ceremony was held in that stadium and I was in awe when I walked on the field.

I have a feeling that they will hand out a lot of standing only tickets. They do have a good space for that.

Temporary move. Rams will dominate the LA market.

Looks like the Chargers will move to Frankfurt,.Germany in tandem with Jax relocation to London. NFL wants two teams in Europe - better for logistics.

Over Goddells dead body will he actually allow a franchise of an AMERICAN sport to move overseas.

Won't seem right.

What was the deal in SD. Could they not get a stadium deal?
Would the owners and city not share in the expense, or was one party wanting the other to pay for all of it?

Its a global sport now and a rapidly increasing % of NFL revenue comes from overseas. As they say..."he who pays the piper calls the tune".

Blue and gold versus slightly-lighter-blue and yellow?

Wonder if, at least, the Chargers might start emphasizing the yellow just as a matter of pride.

As for "stunned," I wouldn't say "stunned," or even "surprised," but I would say that I'm curious how the SD owner imagines this can possibly end well for him, given his tenant status to Kroenke's landlord status.

Granted, there were no good solutions, only bad and really bad ones.

Makes me all the happier that I'm a Cowboys fan! Obviously, Cowboys fans don't ever have to worry about this kind of thing. We can rest assured our Cowboys will never leave us!

Should've had the Raiders in LA. Most popular team out here and its not even close. I'm curious...what makes Spanos believe his franchise will thrive in LA? With no football here the Chargers had 20 YEARS to capture the LA fans(LA was there secondary TV market) but they didnt. Theres another team here now whose owner you dislike, your rival team/fan base is alive again NOW you decide to move to LA? DUMB.

Only logical reason for the move is that the value of the franchise goes up , and then in a few years Spanos sells.

When the Rams left in the 90s the Chargers should have renamed the team California Chargers and pitched themselves at the entire southern California market including both SD and LA. Then this move would seem trivial ala those made by SF etc in recent years. Missed a trick.
