chargers notes for thursday by tom krasovic

Charged Up, why are you trolling here? We accept even biased fans of other teams in this site but ones that actually watch football. Your agenda is clear. You're talking about Romo and don't even watch him. You watch box scores. Well I take that back. You might not even read box scores because had you read them you'd know Romo wasn't why the Cowboys lost. That's what hurt doubters of the Cowboys the most. They can't blame Romo for the loss so they can say the Cowboys still suck in December.

Also is Jason Garrett pretty much Norv Turner 2.0? Most Cowboys fans I've talked to are in love with this dude and think he might replace Phillips next year if he's fired.

Then you need to get out and around a whole lot more than the 3 or 4 Cowboys fans you know from whatever Chargers forum you frequent.

My bad you are right!

Romo did play great last week and I was thinking back to the Giants playoff game he choked away a few years ago when they went on to win the superbowl.....

Wrong again. Romo put the Cowboys in position to win that game and the players didn't come along for the ride including a Crayton drop. Its a shame. There are actually some sensible Chargers fans out there but you're not one of them.

That happens when you live off the past while posting that you live in the present.

I'm not here to troll dude. Just here to talk about this weeks games.

How can I troll when my team has zero rings compared to your 5 world titles anyway? I just feel that this is San Diego's year, but hey I've felt that way the last few years only to be severly disappointed.

As for Romo, like I said...he's a decent QB, and I'd probably take him as my starter if not for Rivers... but Romo is still highly overrated and he's one of those guys that needs to realize his place in this league...at least until he wins a playoff game. Rivers might be cocky too but he backs up his talk with his play on the field and has already proven he can carry the entire team on his back when things go wrong unlike your QB.

Again...I'm not a cowboy fan so I don't remember every detail of their playoff games, but I could have sworn that Romo threw an INT in the endzone at the end of that game when they could have won. And I'm pretty sure overall he didn't do much in that game....

The Chargers have 15 straight December wins?

Yes. Rivers is undefeated going back to 2006 when he became the starter after Brees left and that was Schott's last season.

Norv Turner is 10-0 in december so far in 3 seasons as Chargers head coach.

Nobody can deny that this is impressive....even if you hate the Chargers.

Nobody hates the Chargers... No one cares about the Chargers.

Yep that did happen on the last play. 1 play after he threw an absolutely perfect pass into the endzone that all Crayton had to do was run up under and it's an easy game winning TD.

Instead Crayton decided to stop, inside the 5, on his route and wasn't able to get to the ball.

But, yeah, Romo didn't do a thing to get them into position to win the game or anything.

People have said I'm crazy but I would rather have Romo than Rivers all day long.

Put Romo on the Chargers and he's equally, or more successful than Rivers. But if you put Rivers' whiney arse on the Cowboys and we are a much worse team.

This is a huge homer statement your saying you would take Romo over a QB who's never lost in DEC has an impressive playoff record and has won at every level. Having an MVP year this year not to mention Balls of steal with the whole playing in the AFCCG with a torn ACL. You would take ROMO???? Because hes done what excatly, other then be your QB and your a loyal fan which is good.

P.S. Whiney?? How,When,Where? If anything he talks to much all his teammates say he is not your typical QB hes a football player first and foremost.

I'd have to disagree with you on this. Rivers play when he was hurt in the playoffs was something special. Rivers is a rare type of QB that has a lot of passion fire and desire. He talks a lot unlike any other QB but he wears his heart on his sleeve. I actually like seeing him play.

as far as I'm concerned we're 0-0 vs the Chargers since 2006.

I would take Rivers myself but I can understand people wanting to take Romo.

Romo is more of a playmaker

Rivers is one more leg injury away from being Drew Bledsoe

amongst other things that I would list but I gotta go make me some dinner.

Why exactly are you a Cowboys fan again???? You dismiss, dissect or disavow Cowboy players for players on other teams, every action the organization takes, coaching decisions & schemes, even wins are never pretty enough for you.

What do you appreciate about this team, seriously????

So because I like the cowboys I can't like when a guys goes out and gives it all he's got for his team? Because I'm a cowboys fan I need to only root for cowboys players and exclaim them to be the best at their position ? Is that what you want from me to just say cowboys are great at ever position no matter what and they do nothing wrong?

I view this team as an elite team with an elite QB in Tony Romo. I think they are capable of winning a superbowl. I think this team should blow a crappy Commander team out at home. Also pay attention to what I said I never said I wanted Phillip Rivers I just like what he brings to the table I don't even say that I wanted Romo to be like that because I don't. It's just something that I like. I dissect this team because I think their are spots they can improve upon. I disavow players because I don't think they should be wearing the star. I want players from other teams because it'd be nice to have some players from other squads. I'm a cowboys fan because I've been a cowboys fan since I grew up. So by the time I started watching football I was already a cowboys fan and that happened to be around the cowboys 3 superbowls. I stuck with this team because it's Dallas it has a tremendous history and it's a great franchise. I can't see myself rooting for anyone else. I just want to see this team be able to live up the the great history of this franchise.

It means a lot to wear the star.

Not saying fans cannot be critical, but you never seem happy about anything Cowboys related. I don't see everything w/silver and blue colored glasses either but your tone lately has been extremely negative, but perhaps thats due to me not reading every single post on this board.

And like you, I agree completely with the last part, its good to see the "love" once in a while. Kudos to a well written response.
