Not taking steroids, not a good player. Pass.

I disagree. I think he is still taking some sort of performance enhancing drug. He is not taking what he was busted for, but he is taking something.

Last summer I watched an interview of Merriman. He was squatting and running and claiming he was 100% & ready to kick *** in 2009. He went to say he was stronger than ever and as lighter than he was his rookie year?

Then, when he was unproductive we hear excuses that the knee will require more time to heal, in order for him to return to form.

I think he was juicing during the summer; prior to the 2009 year to get ready to play. Then when he reports he was cycled off and nothing was detected.

The Chargers reportedly held trade talks with "at least two teams" during the draft regarding unsigned restricted free agent Shawne Merriman.

Merriman's tender would have to be signed for him to be traded. Long-term extension talks between Merriman and interested teams also reportedly "went nowhere." The player formerly known as Lights Out continues to fancy himself as an All-Pro caliber pass rusher. He wasn't close to that in '09.

I couldnt root for the guy. It would be like having Warren Sapp in his hay day. I just can't stand the guy.
