Charles Davis first mock

Tyron Smith reminds me of Bruce Campbell from Maryland last year. Everybody was projecting this guy to us and he was a workout warrior at the combine. Then he went in the third round to the Raiders and I don't believe he even sniffed the field. No more projects, everyone say it with me.

I believe Campbell is a guard now, but who knows with the Raiders.

I'd take him too, just not at #9. And Columbo has proven he wasn't worth a 1st rounder. At his best, he was a good RT with a nasty demeanor. I'd rather have found that out by paying him than by drafting him high.

To be fair, Columbo had an unbelievably devastating knee injury right away with Chicago. There's no way to tell if he would have been worth a first or not without the injury.

As you can begin to see from the mocks, it sure would be better having the 6th pick vs. the 9th pick. But, where are all those that were so gung-ho on beating the Philly second and third stringers? Yeah, what a great useless and pathetic victory that was.

Oh, I forgot, that was a great confidence builder for next season. And Columbo held his own against Philly's third string DE. But, hey, it was awesome that Ware got 3 sacks even though it was against scrubs. :bang2:

Yeah, you're right they should have done everything they could to lose that game. When Mcgee was about to score Jerry should have done the Lee Harvey Oswald from his booth.

True enough, and he was taken 29th overall which is probably passable for a RT only prospect.

If we go Smith I will literally throw punch the wall.

Some surprises.

Smith is going to be a very good tackle. I say good meaning he *could* possibly kick Free over to RT.

The problem with Smith. He just isn't ready yet. That man is a minimum of 20lbs under weight and isn't strong enough. If he started today, he would be the RT and he would get pushed around.

The bad thing is, someone IS going to take him and wait on him. The Cowboys need a tackle like Smith, but they can't really wait on him to mature physically into an NFL caliber tackle. :(

I think Smith may make an NFL tackle but he is too much of a project for the 9th pick. The Cowboys need help on the line next season and I`m afraid Smith is going to take a couple years to move into a starting position.

He has excellent feet and most of the time good form (or atleast from what I have seen) strength I think is his biggest weakness right now but with so many smaller guys playing over the left tackle who can really run...Smith maybe an ideal candidate for LT
