Charles Davis first mock

If the draft goes like that then Ingram, Von Miller or Paea. Maybe even trade down, although I hate the thought of trading down in this draft. Rather trade up.

As you can begin to see from the mocks, it sure would be better having the 6th pick vs. the 9th pick. But, where are all those that were so gung-ho on beating the Philly second and third stringers? Yeah, what a great useless and pathetic victory that was.

Oh, I forgot, that was a great confidence builder for next season. And Columbo held his own against Philly's third string DE. But, hey, it was awesome that Ware got 3 sacks even though it was against scrubs. :bang2:
You just keep failing.

I take

Gabe Carimi
as much as I hate to say it

then would take

Cameron Jordan
J.J. Watt
Clayborn

I just hate to waste a pick on D line at number 9

when I think this years class of D linemen is very deep

The Senior Bowl rosters indicate they will have Carimi and Sherrod, along with many of the other upper-tier OL prospects. Between practice reports and the game next week we might start seeing one or two of them separate. Right now, if it fell like this, I'd take Sherrod or Carimi and not look back.

No reason for gnashing of teeth folks....this IS Charles Davis' draft afterall.

Some here are freaking as if this is actually going to happen.

Deeeep breaths.
A whole lot will change between now and draft day and even then Davis will still get it wrong.

Feel better now?

You still don't get it.... it is a defeatist attitude. If you want your team to be competitive you do not tell them it is okay to lose and playing rookies is announcing to your vets that...losing is okay....Losing is not okay and is not accepted...you give everything thing you got on everyplay...you demand it from them and they soon will demand it from themselves and others...I am not sure why that is so hard to understand

I'm usually for beefing up the front seven all the time til we build a dominant D.

I've seen enough of Spears, Canty, Hatcher, Tyson Jackson, Glenn Dorsey, Igor, etc, etc to tell that 99.9% of 3-4 DE's aren't worth top picks or big money. Not when they only make an impact on 1st and 2nd down.

Seems like people can't wait to let Spears walk so we can draft another 2-3 sack DE at best at #9.

Gabe is elite in my book.

What people knock him for is his athleticism and I just don't think it is that bad. He's a good athlete.

Too bad he's a RT then.

That is my nightmare scenario. Those first 8 picks can't go any worse for us...we need 2 QBs to get drafted in the top 8...please

Who do you want with the 9th pick?

I think Smith is going to be an excellent tackle in this league...I really do

I think Smith may make an NFL tackle but he is too much of a project for the 9th pick. The Cowboys need help on the line next season and I`m afraid Smith is going to take a couple years to move into a starting position.

Jordan, Clayborn, Von Miller, Dareus or Smith. Whoever is drafted, as long as they contribute it will not be a wasted pick. Even just as important as the first pick, 2-7 will also be important to building our team.

Cam Newton....

Tyron Smith reminds me of Bruce Campbell from Maryland last year. Everybody was projecting this guy to us and he was a workout warrior at the combine. Then he went in the third round to the Raiders and I don't believe he even sniffed the field. No more projects, everyone say it with me.

I'll take him as our RT.

Colombo went in the late first too.

I'd take him too, just not at #9. And Columbo has proven he wasn't worth a 1st rounder. At his best, he was a good RT with a nasty demeanor. I'd rather have found that out by paying him than by drafting him high.

4th round Raiders.
