DETROIT -- Cornerback Charles Woodson sustained a toe injury on a 34-yard punt return for the Green Bay Packers late in the first quarter Thursday against Detroit.

Woodson jogged off the field, underwent X-rays and didn't return.

"It's not broken, but it hurts," he said after Green Bay beat the Lions 37-26. "It's my big toe on my right foot. I did the same thing on my other foot once in Oakland."

Woodson said it was too early to determine his status for Thursday's game at Dallas.

His departure forced Green Bay to play without two starting defensive backs, Woodson and free safety Nick Collins, who was inactive because of a knee injury.

I hope he plays, I don't want any excuses from those cheesehead fans...

Yeah, I can already hear Bayless with the excuses. Not that I care, but damn it's annoying.

No more under thrown balls by Romo, he's had at least three TD passes nullified by short balls the past two games, two ended up as picks as well.

He'll whine up to the moment Dallas polishes the silver on their sixth trophy and sticks it in the case with the rest.

thats my favorite line of all time......"Don't want the excuses".

I really don't care. Right now, Homefield adnavantage is on the line. I'd have no problem if all 22 starters were injured.

I don't think that would shut him up. Wheres a tongue-flesh eating virus when you need one.

Injuries are part of the game, if Dallas had Glenn maybe they would be 11-0 but they don't and they aren't.

No niners fans cried when Aikman played with fractured ribs, Emmitt Smith nursed a hamstring and Irvin with a broken rib of his own during the 1994 NFC Championship Game, not to mention Erik Williams was out for the season from a car accident and free agency had taken their depth, they just wanted to beat the Cowboys finally and the fact they finally did is all that is remembered.

If he cannot go next week I see a lot of "picking on" the GB's secondary.

i would have done that even with him healthy. gb has a talented linebacker core
