Charles Woodson

He's this generation's Darrell Green. Someone laid out his resume the other day and it's insanely impressive.

@richeisen: Charles Woodson...The only man to win a Super Bowl, National Championship, Heisman and NFLDPOY

Darrell Green was overrated, but anyway, wed be a top notch defense with Charles.

Fair play to woodson but Mannings passes are getting comically bad. That guy looks done. Their defense is holding the team together.

I distinctly remember being on this forum before he was signed by the Packers and the masses assuring me that he was washed up and that a secondary with Pat Watkins, Keith Davis, Roy Williams and Anthony Henry did not need him.

So you're going all the way back to 2005? I thought we were talking about 2015. lol

I typically agree but Church has been disgustingly bad.

One player does not make the secondary. Could he play better? Absolutely! But generally speaking, I'm a lot more confident about the secondary than I have been in a long while.

The safety position has been both neglected and a position that has been poorly evaluated since Roy Williams's sophomore season. That's all I'm saying. Heck, we chose Jeff Heath, Michah Pellerin and Jakar Hamilton over Will Allen at one point.

For whatever reason, for 12 years we thought we could get by with late rounders, UDFA rookies and projects at safety. Hopefully this changes with Jones though. I'm tired of Ken Hamlin being the best safety in a decade.

Man... The guy went from great corner to great safety.....

I miss the days of Thomas Everett, James Washington, Darren Woodson, & Kenny Gant.

Like many of these guys he suffered through a couple of years of being a average to below average CB during the transition period. Same could be said for Rod Woodson and Ronnie Lott.

No shame in it. I personally hope he breaks the all-time NFL INT record. I don't think he is going to make it -- Krause has 81, Charles Woodson has 64.
