Welcome to The Show! On Friday, NFL prospect and former Arkansas RB Darren McFadden will stop by to chat about the NFL draft and being the new cover athlete for EA Sports' NCAA Football 09.
McFadden will be one of four cover athletes for NCAA Football 09 as he will be on the front of the XBox360 version. The PS2, PS3 and PSP games will each feature a different athlete. NCAA Football 09, which will be released July 18, will unveil the all-new Break Away Animation Engine which allows gamers to break in and out of moves giving the user more direct control as well as instant influence and responsiveness on the field.
McFadden finished second in the Heisman voting the past two seasons, after rushing for more than 3,400 yards total. McFadden had his best season in 2007, his junior year, when he ran for 1,830 yards and 16 TDs, while averaging 5.3 yards per carry. He is considered by many as the top rated prospect in the 2008 draft.
According to McFadden's Scouts Inc.'s draft profile, McFadden "runs with good vision and great patience but explodes through the line of scrimmage once he finds the crease. Very few NFL runners possess his type of second-gear to bounce runs outside and to run away from defenders in the open field."

Buzzmaster: Darren should be here soon. Send in those questions!
Buzzmaster: We've got Darren!
Paul (Connecticut): do you play a lot of ncaa football?
Darren McFadden: When it first comes out, I'm on it every day. After I wear it out, it's just every now and then.
don watervliet,ny: When did you relize you had big time football potential?
Darren McFadden: I guess when I was about 11 or 12th grade. I started to get honors and things like that.
Rob (Quad Cities, Illinois): What do you think you will miss about playing on Saturday verses playing on Sunday?
Darren McFadden: Just the crowd, playing in front of the Arkansas crowd. Having them come out and support you. I'll miss that crowd a lot.
Lamar, Fayeteville, AR: What are your thoughts on being an EA Sports cover guy, and are you 'In the Game?'
Darren McFadden: It's a great honor. You dream of that as a kid. It's a great honor to be on there.
Chris Purcellville, VA: How did you feel about going into this years combine and being one of the top guys to watch all over the country?
Darren McFadden: It was a great feeling going into the combine being one of the top guys. You just want to go there and prove that you are.
Cam Shaw (Indy): What is your favorite video game?
Darren McFadden: NCAA. All the way.
Hiflyer23(Dallas,TX): Alot of critics have questioned your vision becuase you mainly ran out of shot gun formation. What is your response to the critics?
Darren McFadden: I hardly ever ran from the shotgun formation. We were a running team. I did run from the QB position a lot, though.
Michael C. Charleston, IL: What do you think of your nickname Run-DMC? Do you like their music?
Darren McFadden: I can't say that I pay much attention to their music, but it's something that comes along with the territory and I go along with it.
Byron (London, KY): How much did SEC football have to do with preparing you for the NFL?
Darren McFadden: It had a whole lot. The SEC is the best conference in America, you're facing the same kind of talent you'll be facing on the next level.
Aaron (Florida): how did you find out?
Darren McFadden: My marketing advisor contacted me and let me know.
Tyler (Ithaca, NY): Will it be strange next season rushing with someone who isn't Felix Jones?
Darren McFadden: No, it's something that will be strange, but wherever you go, you'll get to know those guys.
Earl, Orlando: Other than you being the 1st, who do you think is the 2nd rated RB in the draft this year?
Darren McFadden: Felix Jones.
David Moseley, East Palo Alto, CA: Do you feel confident you can come into the NFL and have breakout rookie season similar to Adrian Peterson?
Darren McFadden: I'm going to try my best. I'm going to put in a lot of hard work to get to that point.
Morrilton, Arkansas: What's up D Mac...Do you have a preference of what team you go to?
Darren McFadden: Not really. I just want to go somewhere and play ball.
Joe (Halifax, Nova Scotia): What type of workouts do you do besides lifting weights? I heard some players do yoga and pilates to gain added mobility, are you into any of that type of stuff?
Darren McFadden: I haven't tried any of that. I'm just sticking to the basics right now.
Matt (Richmond, VA): If you had to name a single record that you want to eclipse in your time at the NFL level, which would it be?
Darren McFadden: I really haven't thought about any of that right now. I'm just working on focusing and preparing for the NFL.
Jeff (arkansas): have you talked to any young NFL players about about adjusting to the NFL?
Darren McFadden: Not really.
Joey C. (NY): How much pressure did you feel to prove to people that you're the best back in the draft?
Darren McFadden: For me, it's pressure, but no one can put more pressure on me than I put on myself.
Jamie Westminster, Maryland: Was it difficult to get thru the combine, dealing with all the different tasks asked of you and still preform
Darren McFadden: It wasn't too bad. We had a lot of waiting around we had to do.
Joseph (Clarksburg, WV): What up Darren? Which running back do you think you try to pattern yourself after?
Darren McFadden: I guess you could say Adrian Peterson.
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama): What is the hardest thing about the combine?
Darren McFadden: Just a lot of waiting around. Doing one and then waiting for the next one.
Cory (SD): What was the strangest question you were asked at the combine?
Darren McFadden: Hmmmm. I can't think of one off the top of my head.
Sam C (Nashville): Similarities have been drawn between you and Adrain Peterson. As a large running back, do you ever feel vulnerable?
Darren McFadden: Not at all, because when I get ready to make contact, I get low.
Devin, St. Louis: You got a tight suit picked out for draft day?
Darren McFadden: Not yet.
Austin (Tulsa, OK): Why did you choose to go to the U of A instead of another bigger program?
Darren McFadden: I grew up in Arkansas. I was an Arkansas fan growing up.
Drew (St. Louis, MO): Are you going to be there in NYC when a team calls your name or will you be at home?
Darren McFadden: I plan on being in New York.
Justin, Brooklyn New York: As a tailback with break away speed, have you watched tape of nfl players similar to you to avoid becoming a reggie bush type runner? If so whom. I think Marshall faulk is very similar.
Darren McFadden: No, not really.
Samm (Nashville): What was the most satisfying victory of you college career?
Darren McFadden: Beating LSU this year when they were No. 1 in the country.
Jon (crivitz wisconsin): Who is better and faster you or Felix Jones?
Darren McFadden: By me being a competitor, I'm going to always say me.
Darren McFadden: I just want to thank you all for all the support. I really appreciate it.
