1st, That cheap shot on JuJo was classeless and dangerous.

But I remeber last year when Haynsworth stepped on Gurode's head. The thing that bothered me most was our team failed to step in. Made me wonder??

Flash to this year. Both Gurode and Colombo are all over that punk. Thats the sign of a team. Notice the refs let it go?

New team, new toughness. LOL!

I believe Colombo just didn't see what happen last year because Colombo has always been nasty. I could watch Colombo jackup DeAngelo Hall everyday for the rest of my life! :laugh2:

You are probably right. He saw it this time! As silly as it sounds those sorts of things can go a long way.

Our TV got terrible reception last night and it was fuzzy and fade in and out much of the time (We're in an iffy, fringe area for NBC) so I didn't get a good look but it seemed to me that one of the other Eagle players was holding up JJ's head, almost as a target for a hit. Can someone who had better reception tell if that was accurate or not?

Maybe I should get off my cheap streak and get a satellite dish of some kind but the NFL games are the only thing I watch on TV and while I enjoy them, they're not really very important to me anymore. We can afford the cost, we just can't afford to take the time away from our other projects to sit and watch TV. We have friends who have cable TVs in every room and they're always on whether anyone's watching them or not. I quit visiting them because they wouldn't turn them off or even down so we could think or have any meaningful conversation. I guess I just don't understand.

Its really simple. TIVO. Record the games and watch them at a time of your choosing.

The eagle under Julius didn't do anything wrong. He was just trying to make the tackle. I'm not even sure Julius was down before the cheapshot. I never clearly saw a knee or elbow touch while he was rolling over the tackler. If that's the case, he needed to keep holding on to Julius.

Yes the players on the ground were holding him up and the one guy was holding his head as the other came in with the cheap shot. It was not just an isolated incident, they coordinated it IMHO

You need to re-watch it. Ju Jo was clearly down and then aggresively speared helmet to helmet. He should have ejected and better get his check book ready for a fine.

I'm not questioning the cheapshot. It was clearly a helmet to helmet hit and it was late. I'm saying the eagle who was under Julius didn't do anything wrong.

New team, new toughness. LOL!

I noticed a couple of things on that play...Lajuan Ramsey, #77, went for the 'piledriver' play while the other Eagle defender basically lifted JJ up to be prime for the dangerous hit of a helmet to helmet in the first place...Dangerous, dangerous, dangerous sequence of events.

Noticed that Gurode and Colombo got in their faces and did not get any penalties from the refs, refs deserve some prudence and credit for that.

Yet, not ejecting that Ramsey clown is really troubling, IMHO.

It's a reality jolt that this game is a very violent one that doesn't need excessive violence...It's the part of the game that makes it hard for me to return to it...I get no pleasure seeing people looking to paralyze people, regardless of the helmet/team it is.

Really took the steam out of the victory, for me...Curious to see what the league does to him...Doubtful it'll be in excess of a 20K fine...Meanwhile, JJ is lucky to not be in some hospitable bed as a quad....Not to mention that Witten, too, suffered a similarly dirty hit of a helmet to helmet on his highlight reel play last night.

On a positive note, either Reid or Jimmy Johnson were responsible but Ramsey was benched after that incident...Kudos for the move

I agree, I had no problem with the hit being late. The helmet-to-helmet is what was wrong.

To think that the eagle making the tackle was holding him up as a target is ludacris IMO.

Was there a flag on that play? At the end of the clip it looks like the ref is reaching into his waist for one. Anybody have a longer clip? I'd like to see a little more at the beginning and the end:)

Ludacris is a singer, ludicrous is the word you meant.
