Cheap Stephen Equals Round 1 WR

How are they in good shape?

They literally don't have a starting LG. They had issues at center. They replaced Gregory at DE with some JAGs. They always need DT help. They are light at LB.

I am not sure how one can look at a roster that actually has gotten worse since the end of the year and think they are in really good shape.
See the post above. This poster is EXACTLY the kind of blind fan Jerry loves. Keeps the fuel in his yacht and the money flowing.

I don't understand people that ***** about a 12 win team that is favored to win the division again.

1) Because they promptly got bounced in the playoffs AGAIN
2) They literally are less talented today than the team that lost a home playoff game

If you are counting on the draft to deliver 3-4 studs that will not only fill the talent hole we created this offseason but make the roster even better next year, that's some really wishful thinking.

Lol, at *****ing before the season. I love the Cowboys and the draft. I am thrilled at where they are at now with Quinn running the defense and a healthy Micah Parsons on the team. Hopefully, Parsons has another healthy year and Dak stays healthy as well. If that happens they will be in the mix for the NFC.
yeah I love the cowboys as well. I want more for them. Not middling results for 27 years. You are "thrilled"?

Mix in the NFC? If the Cowboys played the Rams last season they would have gotten throttled. The Rams got better. Cowboys havent. I used to love watching the draft. This team has taken that away from me now because I already know going into camp they are going to be heralding their picks as future HOFers. And rinse, and repeat.

The fact you think this is a sound strategy, LOL.

They don't spend money in FA so the idea that would then spend money on other positions because they had cheap WRs is kind of funny.
Don’t they kind of mirror the politicos? They get extra money by going cheap in certain areas, but instead of applying the surplus to genuine needs, it goes in their pocket.

Drafting 1-2 starters in a draft is considered a homerun.

The morons running this team want to sell me on finding 4-5 legitimate starters in the draft? While they hoard cap room for no apparent reason? Sure thing. If Rambo wants to believe that. All the power to him.

They are in good shape because they will be adding players in the draft and in free agency. They are the favorite in their division and they should win it. I think that they will be better at left guard and at tight end when it is all said and done. Losing Gregory isn't so bad and that jag was the 3rd overall pick at one time if I'm not mistaken. I also think that Cox will be very good and that they think that Ball can help them in the line. They will be ok. We will just have to see how it turns out.

Can you show your work with the math?

LOL. We are counting on Dante Fowler to do something? Hes on what his 5th team in 7 years. He was a 3rd overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars. LOL. Ryan leaf was a high draft pick too, so was Jamarcus Russell.

I love when people use draft position as part of their argument.

Free agency is basically over. There isn't a lot left that can make dramatic differences at positions of need for this team. You act like there are tons of great players out there in FA that will fill a couple of our holes before we draft. That's just not the case at this point.

Counting on the draft to deliever 3-4 impact players every year is a flawed strategy this team keeps trying to jam down our throats because even the greatest drafting teams don't get that much out of the draft typically.

I am pretty sure you post the same thing every offseason and then the season comes, they spit the bit and you come back convincing yourself this year is definitely gonna be different and they are having a really good offseason.
