Is there any wonder why Barber made Madden's horse trailer tonight? My guess would be that he most certainly wasn't out of gas when the team needed him the most:

Another great thing about Barber (which I pointed out earlier in a different thread) is that he's not only talented as an athlete but he's got brains to boot. Case in point was on that final drive where Barber racked up all the offensive yards for us, but on two of those plays after running for a 1st down, Barber had the good sense to stay inbounds to keep the clock running by deliberately falling down on the field of play.

Athleticism + Brains = Lethal Running Back

This guy's going to be special for us for a very long time...

Barber doesn't beat you with Athleticism. Really, he isn't the most athletic RB in the NFL.

He beats you with barbarism.

After only gaining 3 yards in the 3rd quarter, he'd better not be "out of gas".

I use to think that too, Rack, but tonight Marion showed me some moves that I really didn't think he was capable of doing. My point is that Barber being a barbarian is a given, but what's going to make him truly special is his athleticism (which is only going to improve as he matures in this league).

Eleven...Count em'...Eleven straight touches! Sounds like something 'Double-Deuce' would do back in the 90's...But I'm not too sure Emmitt ever had eleven straight touches!

Barber was probably three-tenths of a second off in the 40 from being a top five pick in the draft.

And that just goes to show you how much speed is so overrated in the NFL draft.
