You know
You know
You know

in between the you knows he said a lot that I was pleased to hear. He's like 24, from a different part of town than most and on the verge of stardom on one of the world's biggest stages! I am pleasantly optimistic he's on the right path and glad to witness & follow his progression! Go Dez!!

Yes he does repeat "you know" as a crutch, but still, it is a marked improvement from past few years.

Yep I was going to make a thread on this yesterday after I saw the full video on DC.com. I think that was his best interview/presser ever.

He replaced "ummm" with "you know" :p:

Good interview. Really does sound like he finally understands what he has to do to be a professional.

Just for fun, I count 38 you know's...:)
But I'm happy for the young man. He's turning his life around.
Love watching him play on Sundays. Reminds me so much of The Playmaker on the field.

I was impressed when I first saw this video too, but didn't mention it because Dez, like Romo, can be a polarizing figure around here. I'm glad he's showing maturity.

:laugh2:

You are so right...

I was almost going to post something about both, but decided not to. Something that the critics always complain about.

He still says Ummm a lot. Doesn't matter though, I absolutely love the guy.

Dez Bryant. Dumber 'na Box o' rocks.

Can catch funny, leather shaped football.
I thought the you knows was just a funny quirk, but it's really silly to use that to call someone dumber than a box of rocks. Most people are very poor about using verbal crutches like that, especially in interviews or public speaking. It takes communicative confidence, practice and experience to overcome this sort of thing.

I have to say I kind of regret posting that because I thought it was noticeable, but I'm actually very excited for him this year. I never cared for the pick but I love being proved wrong.

I'll just go ahead and say he is not articulate, but improving on putting together sentences. He does seem to be thinking straight at least.

I agree. He's not articulate yet, maybe never will be. But I disagree with those who equate articulation with intelligence. Two different things.

CowboyMcCoy,

Trollin'... you know...

Of course, not all of humanity has the literary skills of an Internet scholar, especially those that come from disadvantaged upbringings. Literary ignorance does not necessarily equal a lack of intelligence, just a lack of education.

You know he's going to catch 100 balls for 1600yds's and 14td's and ummm I think we'd all be happy with that!

This kid has done everything asked from him and no one on the Cowboys deserves wearing the star on there helmet more than him. Superstardom awaits.

So what exactly did he talk about in the vid...for those who haven't watched or can't watch.
