I hear ya CC, it's not like our boy "the Zachmyster" who loves the game and his hometown team. The Gapula wants to get paid.

Maybe some of you missed it in that huge thread, but there were a couple things that stood out.

Strahan is down to 245, 10 lbs down from his playing weight.

Last year when he was contemplating retirement, he was still working out on a football level. He's changed his regimen and no longer works out on the same level.

He's a year older at 37. Chances of him coming back and being able to step in right away would be slim...

True and consider last year it took him a couple of weeks before he really started to get going.

Colombo pretty much has his number either way.

He knows the defense and for a guy like him who has done this forever he could most likely be in shape in 6 weeks.

His Cardio shouldnt take but about 3 weeks.

Its the not lifting weights that will hurt him the most.

What will hurt him the most is being in his late 30's now.

Strahan just wants one more Payday ..... I am not worried about him on the field at all.

lol his ex wife took most of his money, so the money might be a huge factor for Strahan.:)

8 million dollars to pay for all those kids and his ex-wife? He will take it.

He's got a lucrative contract with Fox and it will be difficult to shift from the "Olives and Ouzo" diet and non-workout regime to get in football shape. He seemed more at peace than Favre about retiring. I'm thinking he stays away.

He's just got two kids...and considering his new lady, I'd say he's upgraded. Even tho even she has her days.

Money should definitely be a factor, but one thing that I think he'll take into consideration is whether the opportunity at Fox will be there when he decides to retire again.

Even if Strahan does come back, at his age, it will take him a while to get back into "football" shape. I'm not at all surprised to see the talk about Strahan possibly coming back, as soon as Umenyiora's injury was released, I knew we would begin hearing about a possible return of Strahan.

I agree. It could be a factor

It probably was with AIkman. Troy probably would have played a little longer (maybe with Miami) if not for his gig with Fox.

if someone wants to pay me 8-10 million a yr and play only 3rd downs mostly, I'll be happy to oblige.:)
