Check what game your getting

Horaay! That is just smart business, no noe in Houston cares about the Texans. Back when the oilers were here it was still a Cowboy town largely as well.

In the artical posted yesterday they said that they expect double digit ratings for both the Texans and Cowboys games which is why Fox pushed to get the Cowboys this weekend. So at 12:00 Houston vs Giants will be on CBS and Dallas vs Wash. will be on Fox. Our 3:00 game will be Broncos vs Steelers on CBS

exactly.

I hope they continue this for the season because the game against the Colts is scheduled to be blacked out unless they lift it again.

That is ratings bonanza for fox, they have to lobby for it. The only difficulty comes from the fact that it will destroy Houston's ratings, if it is a game at Reliant (which I don't know b/c I don't pay attention) then it could hurt attendance as well.

If anyone needs to watch the game, i can let you borrow my yahoo id, so you can watch the game online via NFL GamePass.

The skins game did not fall under the blackout rule but some how or another FOX Network figured that since Houston game came on at the same time as Dallas that they would get a better rating having the 3:00 game instead of head to head with the home team. Local Fox asked for the change because they know better. So if Dallas vs Colts game conflicts with the league blackout rule then it will not be shown here in Houston on local TV

tvlistings.aol.com

put in your zip then the time and day of programming and you have it

I am a little torn this week
I live in MA but go to school in NY
I have to go home for something this weekend and return on Sunday

Massachusetts is showing the game and NY isn't
I don't want to take a three hour train ride and then a 1 hour ferry too late though because I have an exam on Monday

Decisions decisions to make

I protest loudly!

The map shows the Charlotte area getting getting New Orleans game, but when I checked the Charlotte Fox stations' listings, it shows Cowboys - Skins. Anyone know how reliable these maps are?

It was just announced here in Houston that the NFL is allowing the Cowboys game to be aired at the same time as the Texans game. Fox in Houston has already changed their local tv listings to show Cowboys-Skins instead of Vikings-49ers

:welcome:

Good to have another H-Town Cowboys fan in the house.

You do so on the NFL deaf ears. :lmao: I don't care for the blackout rule either but that is the way it is. I'll still watch the Cowboys vs Colts game but I just will not be able to see it at home.

I don't know how people get along in the Football season with out the Sunday TIcket,, it is a little expensive, but well worth it.

Any H towners in here that can recommend a good sports bar for Cowboys games? It would be nice to hang out with fellow cowboys fan during this run we are about to make.. new to Houston, so I don't know the local landscape yet.

I love my Ticket but this year, I only needed it for the Tennessee game, every other game has been on my local HD channels or on a Canadian station (TSN has Sunday and Monday Night games).

This week, Seattle is playing at night so I get Dallas-Washington on the local Fox HD station.

Still, Ticket is worth it because I can watch other games I want to see and am not limited to 2 games when Seattle is at home.

Prior to Sunday Ticket, I used to wait for this map to come out every week like I used to wait for Christmas to come.

These days, I cringe when they show the Cowboys in Baton Rouge. Every time they do this, my Sunday Ticket gives me diminishing returns. This is only the 2nd game this year in my area that will require Sunday Ticket.

This means that I have paid just over $100/game for Cowboys football on Sunday Ticket. I don't really care to watch other games on Sunday Ticket, though I admit that I do peek at the NFC East rivals.

What a great investment! I'll take it if it means we're nationally televised more often due to the fact we're winning.

I'm not from H-Town, but have been there on business quite often lately. I watched one game at BW3 (Buffalo Wild Wings) on 1960. There were a lot of Cowboy fans there, and they were all cool.

Stupid '49ers and Raiders. Ruining my fun every weekend.

Do either of those teams sell out anymore?

Don't know -- but I'm in their extended area so I get their games regardless. I guess they don't expect folks to drive 6 hours to watch crap football.

The exact reason I don't have satellite dish with the nfl sunday ticket. The limited number of games they we don't get here in Kansas my buddies (all Cowboy fans) go to the local sports bar and hang out for a few hours. So far this year only one game (Ten) hasn't been on.

I understand the thinking re NFL Sunday Ticket. Even though it has worked out that I didn't need it except for the one game so far this year, to me the $130.00 CDN I pay for the service is worth it so that I know I will see the Cowboys every week.

I then get to choose which game I will watch. A few weeks ago, the game on my local CBS station was the KC-Pittsburgh game which was a blowout. I was able to watch the Jets-Dolphins game only because I have Ticket.
