There is a lot of doom and gloom in Washington today after the Commanders' 7-6 loss to the Cowboys.

Here's the Washington Post's game story.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/11/22/AR2009112201356.html

Thomas Boswell writes more about the disappointment.

Mike Wise has the story of the backup's backup, running back Rock Cartwright.

Making matters worse for the Commanders, ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting Ladell Betts, the starting running back with Clinton Portis out, has a torn MCL and ACL and will miss the season.

Jason Campbell picked a bad time to get picked off.

David Elfin of the Washington Times has the Commanders coming up three minutes short.

Dan Daly says the loss was fitting.

Thanks, joe. It's nice to see all this Commander misery available in one place.

Oddly enough, they did a pretty good job.
I know most here like to scream about the team failing itself, but the guys on the other side of the ball did their jobs too and they won for most of the game.

If those people had any sense they might look at that positive and stop crying.
I personally hate them, but I'll give credit where it is due.

I love Commander misery. Brings a smile to my face.

As recently as last week, there were still extremely delusional Commander fans talking about running the table and making the playoffs. WIth 7 losses, even THEY have been put in their place.

So, ugly win or not, the Cowboys are responsible for ending the dreams of even the most delusional Commander fans. And even though the majority of Commander fans had accepted their fate long ago, to crush the dreams of those hangers-on is pretty sweet.

Somebody should ask Orakpo how confused the Dallas OL looked on their run blocking yesterday :p:

It is pretty interesting to me the two guys who came on with galloway and company before our game with them this season and ran their mouth are orakpo and roddy white.

Both lost. Both ended up being on the wrong end of a highlight reel!

who wouldve thunk?

;)

Nothing better then down times for Deadskins fans and their sorry lucky team..

Great reads those were. I hope the depression lasts for sometime for all Deadskins fans.

Just think, there was a Commanders fanboy....err, I mean beat writer who claimed that the Skins were the best team in the NFC East this week because they didn't lose a game the week before.

I also get a kick out of all of the Skins fans claiming a 'moral victory.' Moral Victories are for losers, give me the actual win any day of the week.

Count me in on that thought. 7-3 and 1st place in the division. That's the most important thing. The game was hideous to watch, but we ended up with the "W".

P. S. Thank you for the links Joe.

"We thought we was going to get the one today," said Campbell

this might be an indication on why the skins can't score.

Of course there is doom and gloom. They have an ownership with no strategy. They hired an OC then made him head coach. Took away his playing calling duties and gave to retired coach who was calling bingo as well as was 3-6 going into our game who had lost to the Lions. There should have been doom and gloom week 2. ;)
