Cherryeye in Bulldogs

I have a friend that has a bulldog that has cherryeye and we aren't sure what we can do to remove it other than have the surgery.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced cherryeye in bulldogs or any other kind of dog and what they did to get rid of it?

They are also pretty common in english bull dogs.

The inlaws had on years ago and they have one now and both have had troubles with them.
