Had to look at the source, it's a webp file, which isn't supported in Firefox by default IIRC.

Rg6
Any black move (Pc2, Kf5/Kd4, B(g5/f6/e7/d8), B(g3/f2/e1))
Qe4#

After a nap, realized this is wrong. Kd4 is a delaying move as is Bf6. Kd4 can escape to Kc5 and Bf6 blocks the rank allowing Kd6.

Yeah ,you had me thinking the same, until I made a couple of moves in my head.

Any chess fans?

Maybe I will play around with this thread if there are any other chess fans here. See if you can figure out the answer before viewing the spoiler / answer.

White Rook to G5, forcing the black King to D4, then white Queen to D6 for checkmate

Who's move? White or black?

Had to start thinking sacrifice for the first one, and not a perfect two move.

I think the solution is Rd4
If Kxd4, Qd6#
If Kf5, Rd5#
If Pc2 or Bmovement, Rd5#

I know how to play, but I'd like to really learn how to win. My wife started beating me...

There are a few things. First you need to learn tactics for middle game. Then start learning end-games. (like how to get the king with specific pieces you have (2 knights, or a knight and a bishop, etc)

Here are two tactics trainers. They will give you the fastest boost to your ability to play.

You will hear people learning openings and stuff. Those are the last things you will learn. That said, learn the things you SHOULD NOT DO in openings early on too. (ie, don't start by moving your A or H pawns.)
