The Bears have been in the NFL since day one, and the best QB in franchise history....Sid Luckman? Ok ok Jay Cutler but,,,,,Jay Cutler? McMahon was just ok, and then there's....who?

Will Fields finally give the Bears a QB, guess it's wait and see,

How in the hell did I forget all about Andy Dalton, my bad!

The one and only Sid Luckman

Getting him at 11th overall was outstanding
He at least has a shot at being special.
If he for some reason does not pan out, no one can say they didn't go for it.

Think you pretty much nailed it there, ah, yes yes and yes.

I know, not the NFL....

The mobile QB is hard on a defense, it does wear um down, whole different deal.

Sadly Harbaugh still rates amoungst their best lol

I feel sorry for Andy Dalton, those Bears fans all jacked up for Fields. The kid got a standing ovation, ha!!!!

Really is hard to believe a franchise as old as the Bears (day one) would be as QB starved as they have been.

He looked outstanding against Miami. I like the Bears as long as they're not playing us, so I hope he does well. I'd love to see him destroy the Packers.

Not only that, but I learned from visiting Soldier Field in 2019 that we have a lot in common with Bears fans. Once we get locked in on a player, that player better live up to his hype, and the other player in the way gets all the hate.....which is then shifted to the starter if he starts to suck.

The thing I liked about back in the day was those guys got how lucky they were to be playing pro football, nobody cry babying around about $$$$$.

Yeah, It was more about winning and playing the game. That probably lasted through the 70s.

I feel kind of stupid right now. This guy probably was the Bears best QB. I found this gem.

They took the video down.

That was cool, thanks!!!

Five time All Pro and his stats were on a whole other level than what was going on in his era.

Yes he is the best QB the Bears have ever had.

In 1948 or 1949, they Sid Luckman, Johnny Lujack, and Bobby Layne on their roster. Two Hall of Famers and an All-Pro/Heismann winner. It was downhill from there.

If Fields holds the ball for five seconds every snap, like he did against Miami, it's going to be a very short career. We'll see.

Lujack had 41 td/54 INT.....ouch!

Layne did next to nothing as a Bear.

Luckman was the real deal, then like you mentioned downhill from there.
