Chicago, best team in the NFC?

because one game last year will dictate how well they play against them this year???

Smith killed them twice last year actually, just the second time they gameplanned better. Jake was barely touched. But keep overrating the Bears. Keep on.

I hope we are in the playoffs and see them in the nfc championship game so we can smack rex in his mouth.

as a matter of fact, i will. And on an "overrating note", you can keep on thinking that your team is almost on par to the bears team. Im sure it wont let you down later in the season

Which is it guys, are the Bears scary good or do they just have an easy schedule? If Dallas had faced the teams they have up to this point, I think we'd be undefeated and looking pretty scary to the rest of the league. Of course, with us everybody would point out the weak schedule.

no problem. Just make sure if we happen to meet the bears in the playoffs you come back and shine my shoes.

Worry about that team of yours that barely eked one out today.

The way the Bears destroyed the Seahawks was unreal. They now have an offense to go along with that stout defense.

They are the best NFC team right now.

And after last week im sure everyone thought the seahawks were the best in the NFC.

wait until week 8 atleast before you annoint the best in the conference. Im sure the bears will lose to a team they should not lose to very soon.

I don't think our schedule's been that tough.

Sure, the Jags at home were tough. We should've beaten them.

Washington was terrible when we played them.

Tennessee is awful.

Our biggest test is next week vs the Eagles in Philly.

If we beat them on the road, then I think you can move us into the "contender" category.

it's a long season. the bears hype is just continuing from last year and is way, way, way premature. 2 pushover games and a deflated sea, at home, minus their best offensive player.

being "best" week 4 is pretty much useless unless you keep improving thru jan.

Rex has been impressive since I first saw him.... but.... I see a little of the wrecklessness of Brett Favre in him... the Favre that zip's those INT's into the DB's.... watch for it....

Come December, I think we see another "Ice Bowl" in Chicago.....

I was about to post the same thing. Great points.

Chicago is a team to be reckoned with. But a lot can and will change between now and December.

They're impressive. Tommie Harris is a complete stud.

i think the bears will struggle against the bills next week

Since we got arse handed to us by the same team Washington out 36 on I say we have no room to talk.

Last I look squeak by a medicore team or what ever crap you want to throw out there it all comes down to wins and loses. Last I looked when it comes to who the best team in the league is comes down to socreboard. The Bears are 4-0 period end of story they got the job done. So they have scoreboard and nothing anyone says right now can take that away.

Unlike Dallas who chocked on the bone opening day

I tried to tell you guys, the Bears are going to be pretty good this year. They have an easy schedule, they have a great defense, they have a nice power running game and they have a much improved QB situation. The Bears staff has loved Grossman for some time. If the guy can stay healthy, the Bears are going to be way tough. Nobody, not even the Bears themselves, enjoy playing football in late December and January in Chicago. In order to win in Soldier Field at that time of the year, you better be able to run the ball between the tackles. You better be able to defend the run. Passing game means little in those conditions and the wind howls there. It's horrible to play in, much less watch. If we have to play them there, I don't think we will match up well against them. I hope I'm wrong but we will see.

I wouldn't say this is the same defense as the one last season. Ricky Manning Jr. is a new face, and he looked like Hasselbeck's favorite reciever last night. Smith would probably toast him man-to-man too, but he's a better cover corner than the Bears had previously, and with good gameplanning they could shut him down.
