The Eagles and Patriots have offers on the table for free-agent DE Julius Peppers, who’s currently on his way to Chicago to visit the Bears.

Peppers’ agent, Carl Carey, said earlier Friday that Bears coach Lovie Smith traveled to North Carolina to visit with Peppers.
