So what he's trying to say is

Peyton has Harrison, and Wayne, and Clark,

but he's a good QB

But because Romo has T.O, Glenn, and Witten

he's not as good of a QB?

Intresting, i could understand maybe Brady or Mcnabb, but umm Peyton is the wrong person to be comparing Romo to if you wanna talk about Weapons.

And the last time i checked, you can have the greatest players in the world, but if QB sucks and can't get the ball to them, then it dosen't do you any good. I don't see Kitna being procalimed a "great QB" and he threw for 4000 yards.

"He Is Who WE THINK He Is, And We WON'T Let Him Off The Hook!"

Only in yards allowed per game, but it's pretty shallow and didn't give a good indication of where the Cowboys defense stood compared to the elite defenses that year.
who was the #1 scoring defense in 03? (points allowed)

Would like to have him explain Grossman's performance. Since Grossman so bad does that means he doesn't have any weapons around him.

How come fans of other teams and the players themselves seem to put down our QB claiming he's only good because of the weapons around him. They said the same thing about Aikman. Gee, does anybody believe Peyton would be that good w/o Harrison, his OL, his TE & his RB? Would Carson Palmer be that highly regarded w/o some of his WRs?

Romo will turn the whole league into believers by the time the season is over. Taylor got a little taste last week. The Bears are next on the "unfinished business" express.

than they were the #1 defense in 2003. i don't get why they said we were:confused:

I dont think either stat by itself is enough.

If you have an offense that turns the ball over 3 times a game for example and your always defending short fields and giving up points becaue of that are you really worse than a team that has an offense that never turns the ball over but gives up 2 points less a game?

When youre looking at wholistic team stats like that its kinda hard to evaluate just on a single stat.

Other than TO and Witten, we have 2 average mid-round picks at running back, a 7th round pick WR, and two undrafted free-agents at WR. Let's not even begin to think that it is the talent around Romo that makes him who he is.

As far as our starting offensive skill players are concerned, only TG was drafted in the 1st round. And only Columbo and Davis was a first rounder on our OL. It's not like our offense is full of 1st rounders.

I would have to agree about Payton Manning and Tom Brady being the top tier QB's of the NFL.. But I believe Romo is right below them along with Palmer.

Id have to say Baltimore that year they had the most sacks and turnovers were right up there in yardage and points per game and they ahd a mediocre offense with an absolutely horrible passing game.

"I don't know," defensive end Adewale Ogunleye said. "I just know that he's the guy we're facing this week. I think we're going to try to do what we do best. He is a good quarterback, he does things well, but he has some weapons that make him look really, really good with T.O. (Terrell Owens) and those running backs and the tight end and, too, when they get Terry Glenn back. He has some weapons with him that make him look really good."

So Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark suck?

Where they were drafted really means nothing, TO and Witten both were 3rd round picks.

It's like people don't know that 2006 Drew Bledsoe might have been the league's worst QB - with these exact same weapons.

They basically called out Romo, said he was not that good and it is the surrounding talent that is making him look good.

If they think Romo is not all that, can you imagine what they think of Grossman:laugh2:

Yeah, people say that about Emmitt ans his great O-line from the past.

Good time for Hos's "embrace the hatred" theme.
