Who is the all time injury loser in recent Cowboys history, Matt Johnson or Isaiah Stanback?

Going old school, let's throw in a Mike Sherrard vote here. He went on to have a nice career, but his injury time in Dallas was rough.

Am I the only one who just feels bad for Matt Johnson? I think it would suck to a scrappy player from Easter Whatever, to make it into the NFL as a 4th round pick, at a position of major need, and to impress coaches in minicamps and have your shot, and then to never get it because of a bunch of niggling soft tissue injuries that just never heal. You know the guy wanted nothing more than to get out there and practice. Instead, he's unceremoniously cut and the butt of jokes from fat guys on the internet for the next six years or whatever. (Not that you're a fat guy on the internet necessarily, dogunwo, but you get the idea). That's just like God teasing you at that point.

Did he re aggravate during the GB game or last Sunday? If I'm not mistaken he played vs GB? What did I miss?

He didn't reaggrevate vs Packers, he felt tightness and muscle weakness so they took him out. So no set back, but it's not ready to go yet.

I feel like they should take him off special teams...the less running the better

I feel bad for him too. Probably more for Justin Beriault. For the record, I guess a doctor might tell you that I am technically fat. 6'1", 230 lbs.

We desperately needed a CB who would miss a bunch of games every year seeing as how we let Claiborne go.

in hindsight, it would have been better to not even play him the first 6 games. Maybe his hamstring would be healed by now.
Thankfully, Jordan Lewis stepped up in a big way and is playing well. Mitigates the loss of Awuzie for the last 5 games.

He is fine.

He is actually spending a lot of time with our scout, Miles Austin, on the side to learn how to overcome this lingering hamstring problem. Getting all kinds of great tips and advice.

That's downright scary. If that's the deal, he may never get to leave the trainer's table. :(

So, what the *** was it ? Torn hammy or what, hes had this since training camp. I hate the way they (Garrett) dont say **** unless its an obvious injury.
ACL tear etc. Out for year. We still have no idea what Paea's knee injury was - and he retired !
I know, I get competative advantage an all but common man !

A few of our players need a copy of TB12...really good read for athletes let alone professionals who play a collision sport. Say what you want about Brady but he's extremely intelligent on and off the field. You don't excel to that level for this length of time without genius, miticulous preparation.

I always thought of Matt Johnson as just another project safety. Kind of like the one we have now in Heath.

But we never found out what kind of player he might have been. The coaching staff always touts certain players during train camp and more times than not nothing comes to fruition.
