it just isnt possible...Shawn Merriman is the greatest team in NFL history...he totally make sother teams offenses disappear...he cannot be stopped...he cannot be contained...

lets be honest though he is A good player. I will not say merriman is bad. he is a good player.

but it is obvious he is not dominant. he still has rawness. he isnt experienced or polished enough to do everything in coverage and against the running game he needs to do.

he is going to be a good player possibly great.

and I say the same thing for ware.

merriman stuffed by the run again. and has zero sacks again. and they are losing 27-13.

We should have drafted merrimen. he is obviously much more consistent than ware at sacking oakland QBs 3 times.

Rivers was just faced with an 8 man rush on 4th & 3 on the KC 30 yd line. He, very calmly dropped 3 steps and hit LT in the rt flat for a 30 yd scampers for a TD. This is what you do when a team decides to send the house. Someone should sit Bledsoe down and clue him in on that. Sure, some of that was coaches, but most of that was Rivers standing in there and quickly delivering a strike for a TD under duress. Great play by the 1st time starter.

Edit: This is all happening in hostile KC by a 1st time starter. SD currently down 20-27 after the brilliant TD pass.

Good to see the chiefs putting it to the chargers. This Merriman/Ware stuff is so old. Heck I'm just glad we got a good one and it could have done alot worse.
