The Kansas City Chiefs quickly dispelled rumors they are shopping Pro Bowl running back Larry Johnson before this weekend's NFL draft. Team spokesman Bob Moore said Thursday the Chiefs have not offered Johnson to anybody and that no team has been given permission to speak with him. "Anybody who is reporting it's true is simply not telling the truth," Moore said.

That is complete crap. It's very well known up here that the Chef brass doesn't want to pay LJ the kind of money he will command with his new contract. He has one year left on his rookie deal then he will become an unrestricted free agent. If they don't trade him, they risk losing him without any compensation. The local radio mediots all agree that if any team offered up a 1st and a 4th rounder for LJ the Chefs would take the deal. Now that is just local speculation but as the old saying goes, where there is smoke.......
