Chiefs trade down Mock

To expand about on @Risen Star post about KC looking to trade up and what that haul would look like. They trade would bring us the Chiefs 1st (31) 2nd (63) 4th (133) as well as their #1 in 2026. Im going to base this mock mostly on guys we have shown interest in

Round 1) Luther Burden, WR Missouri
Round 2) Shavon Revel, CB East Carolins
Round 2) Alfred Collins, DT Texas
Round 3) Dylan Sampson, HB Tennessee
Round 4) Ollie Gordon, HB Oklahoma
Round 5) Justin Barron, LB SU
Round 6) Tommy Mellott, WR, Montana State
Round 6) Ajani Cornelius, OL, Oregon
Round 7) RJ Mickens, Safety, Clemson
Round 7) Seth Henningan, QB, Memphis

Would be pretty happy with that, tbh. Definitely think we should be drafting 2 complementary RBs, as well as taking a CB early.

In which of the 1000 alternate universes does it make any logical sense for the Chiefs to want to make this trade?

To be fair, that is a fair value trade according to most GMs and charts….on paper

But you make a great point if you’re asking who would be there at 12 that would entice KC to do it

I think from the other post it was based on if Membou fell to 12 and that the Chiefs are wanting to move up.
The first fallacy is that the interest in moving up has revolved around Josh Simmons with the fall back being Conerly.
The 2nd fallacy is that because they got clobbered in the SB Andy Reid is going to panic and try to move up 19 spots for a guy who probably at best translates to RT and is most likely a guard as his best position.
They got clobbered by the Bucs a few years back, the signed the ancient Orland Brown to a one year contract and dropped a 5th on a guy who’s now on the Eagles roster!
Andy Reid isn’t where he is today because he panics!
