And stay there. Guys like him, Saban, Spurrier just need to stay in college. Harbaugh, Carroll, and Jimmy have been the only successful college coaches I can think of.

There haven't been many college coaches with no previous NFL experience that have made a good transition to the NFL. Most successful NFL coaches work their way up the ranks as position coaches and coordinators with a few also gaining some head coaching experience in the college ranks. Guys who only have college experience tend to falter after making the giant leap to head coach of an NFL franchise. Jimmy Johnson was definitely an outlier.

College coaching is as much about recruitment, having boosters make secret cash payments, altering academic records, doping and smoozing within a corrupt system as actual coaching. NFL must be a bug culture shock - completely different skill set required.
