Couple of thoughts

-Cleveland wanted Bradford and if they were under the assumption that Chip wanted Mariotta, I can see them offering the 19th pick for Bradford.
-With Philly being the one giving up picks, dropping from their 4th round pick to Cleveland's 5th round and giving up a 2016 2nd rounder, this just about rules out going after Mariotta.
-Pat Shurmur, the current offensive coordinator of the eagles, was with the Rams during Bradford's rookie season, so there is more evidence that no Mariotta trade is in the works.

It's in the best interest of both sides to wait. How much is Bradford worth right now? I would assume he'd have a hard time landing a long term deal with significant guarantees. But a year in Chip's system would raise his value quite a bit.

From the Eagles perspective, he likely wants to be there since Shurmur is there and Kelly's system is QB friendly. I would not worry about him blowing up and leaving. Even if he plays great there is the franchise tag and transition tag to keep him off the market

Chip is basically a fruitcake.
Nothing he has done this off-season makes any sense.

Took a top 5 offense and dismantled it.

Traded for players instead of picks.

Says Bradford is his guy but encourages trade offers?
Says Mariotta is the best QB in this draft?

There really is no consistent pattern here.
It's almost intentionally crazy and fly by the seat of the pants.
